Have you ever heard of Stickles? During G1, hasbro produced a line of ponies with a sticky backing called Stickles. I actually had no idea what they were until I received one in a lot, I had to do my own researching.
They look like this! There's quite a range of characters as well. I have Moondancer, her backing isn't sticky anymore but I'm very glad to own one.

But anyways, the interesting thing is that Brazil did something similar. They didn't have a sticky backing, but they made these four ponies- Minty, Butterscotch, Cotton Candy, and Blue Belle, in their own line - Os Fofinhos.
If you didn't know, Brazil has a couple regional variants of So Soft ponies that don't have flocking. For example, the typical So Soft Shady and Paradise have Brazilian variants that are the same pony, just without flocking. I'm not sure why they chose not to produce flocked ponies, but Brazil must've still wanted to take a shot at a fuzzy pony, because Os Fofinhos are considered as Brazil's version of So Softs.
Here's a look at the Brazilian NSS (Non-So Soft) (left) ponies, versus their typical Honk Kong produced variants. (Right)

Does anybody actually know why Brazil did this?
