Pone Reviews 30: Maud Pie Happy Last-Sunday-Before-The-Sunday-Before-Christmas and welcome to a new Pone Reviews! Focusing on another family member today. Yesterday it was faithful big brother Big McIntosh, but we couldn't leave the Pies and big sisters out! So here is a Pone Reviews about Season 4's "Maud Pie!" As usual, the moral first. "You can find common ground with your friend's sibling, no matter how different you are, because of your friend." I... struggle with the relatability here. Don't get me wrong, it's a sweet thought, but how well does it work in practice? This past year gave us plenty of evidence that opposites don't always see eye to eye. While a mutual friend is a good starting point, you can't really become friends based on that alone. You have to enjoy each other's company and find more common ground. You can't base it all on your mutual friend. I feel that the lesson also contradicts with the events of the episodes. It implies that the Mane 5 don't have much in common with Maud. But they do! Rarity and Maud both like fashion. Twilight and Maud both appreciate literature. Applejack and Maud are both honest. And Fluttershy and Maud both enjoy nature. (I have no idea what Maud and Rainbow share.) All the Mane 5 and Maud just appreciate these things in different ways. I thought the episode was cute, but the execution of the moral was slightly confusing. But how about the plot? We initially saw in Season 1's "The Cutie Mark Chronicles" that Pinkie had two sisters, not three. But Maud is such a great character that I couldn't care less. She may not show much emotion, but she is both hilarious and caring. She recognizes that Pinkie is the result of recessive genes and loves her all the same. She genuinely tries to find common ground with Pinkie's friends, even if she isn't successful. And she isn't hard on Pinkie when she gets caught in the rockslide because she *knows* how hard Pinkie tried to get everypony to bond. And she admits at the end that she keeps all of Pinkie's necklaces because she loves her. She's such an intricate character that she got a whole episode named after herself. She also shows there are more to the Mane 5's life passions. Fashion can be both flashy and more natural. Books aren't the only type of literature. Honesty has many levels. And the forest isn't just flora and fauna. Of course, these aren't outrightly stated, but I found them important anyway and wanted to share with you. <3 Here are some more things I liked about this ep that I feel the need to share with you: *Spiders can be nice too! *Pinkie chugging the cider was hilarious. *Maud's smile at the end felt so genuine. She doesn't seem like the kind of pony to smile at many others, so it feels especially special with Pinkie. *The notecards Pinkie made in the beginning were so Pinkie-ish. *WAIT HOW WHAT *I appreciate all Maud's references as a geology nerd. Then again, Maud was part of the reason I became interested in the subject in the first place... And here are some things I disliked about this episode that I feel the need to share with you: *How exactly did the Mane 5 get to the rock farm faster than the train? Ultra teleportation wasn't introduced until "Twilight's Kingdom, Part 2," and then it was all the princesses' magic combined! *Geez Twilight, don't like Maud's poetry much? *What was the deal with Rainbow Dash and Maud? Throwing boulders into a lake? What does that tell us about their characters? *This episode was the first time the Mane 5 visited the rock farm and it is never brought up. *Is there a reason why Maud doesn't show her emotions as vividly as Pinkie? I know there was an issue of Friends Forever covering this, but it was published before the comics became truly canon with the show. *Okay, "rocktology" is a cute word and all, but does the word "geology" not exist in the pony world? If not, what do things like plate tectonics, the planet's cores, and groundwater fall under? In conclusion: An episode serving as the introduction to a fan-favorite character with some bamboozling situations. This episode rocked. 4 out of 5 rainbows 🌈🌈🌈🌈 And so another Pone Reviews draws to a close. Come back this Saturday where I cover an episode focused on the one and only Princess Twilight Sparkle! Three's a Crowd

In season 4 of MLP, we see Candence and Twilight meet up in Ponyville. Before arriving, Twilight makes note that the last three times she had seen her, there had been trouble in Equestria. I remember the wedding and Sombra's rise, but what was the third time? If Equestria Girls counts as being the third time, could the movies be canon?

Delta Brony was bleeding at first from his last battles, but Twilight healed him a few minutes ago. The trail of blood moved because it had some dark magic in it. It expanded and transformed into dark energy, causing it to reveal Omega Brony, who now has rainbow power of the Mane 6. He plans to get revenge on Twilight Sparkle and her friends, and defeat Princess Celestia and become ruler of Equestria. Delta Brony is the prince of hope and the protector of Twilight Sparkle, and he will do what ever he can to team up with the Mane 6 to defeat his dark nemesis.

MLP Post Season 4 Adventures: One More Day

DAYS REMAINING BEFORE RAINBOW ROCKS: 1

[Delta Brony] "Joshua!!"

[Joshua] "Delta Brony."

[Delta Brony] "I got some good news. Rainbow Rocks is just a day away!!"

[Joshua] "Excellent!! So, are you ready for it?"

[Delta Brony] "You bet I am, but there seems to be the problem. You see, the disorder is not called the Dazzling virus, it's called the Siren Cluster."

[Joshua] "Huh? I know about this... it says that it is a severe disease to Earth Ponies, Pegasus and Unicorns, and VERY dangerous to Alicorns."

[Delta Brony] "I got some bad news for you Josh, I might become a siren soon based on.... this."

[Joshua] "I can see... you are definitely an alicorn and I am aware of the situation on what you're about to get into."

[Delta Brony] "Let's hope you find a cure, I don't know if it's going to get worst."

[Twilight Sparkle] "Hey guys."

[Both] "Twilight!!"

[Twilight Sparkle] "So Delta, how's your life on being an alicorn so far?"

[Delta Brony] "It's pretty good. I haven't made my decision on whether I'm gonna accept my royal duty as Prince."

[Joshua] "In speaking of that..."

[Delta Brony] "..."

[Joshua] "Just take a look at my cutie mark."

[Delta Brony] "...This can't be. The Elements of Harmony."

[Joshua] "Not only that, Celestia gave me a position on being... "The Prince of Harmony."

[Delta Brony] "Prince of Harmony?"

[Joshua] "Yes, back in the old castle I protected Twilight Sparkle before she and her friends got the elements of harmony to turn Nightmare Moon back to normal."

[Delta Brony] "Why you didn't tell me this?"

[Joshua] "Least I told you now Delta."

[Delta Brony] "So you must be... the protector. And Princess Celestia was proud of what you have done. Did you accept her offer?"

[Joshua] "No, but when the Multiverse and Equestria are at peace from Dark Joshua, I will accept."

[Delta Brony] "Dark Joshua... that's the pony I punched at the train station. And I prevented the battle between you and him"

[Joshua] "Exactly."

[Twilight Sparkle] "So this Dark Joshua pony wants to take over Equestria."

[Joshua] "Not only that Twilight, and I'll explain to Delta Brony privately."

[Twilight Sparkle] "Ok."

[Delta Brony] "Welp, guess I better chill out and try to find a way to control the disease."

[Joshua] "Anytime."
