MLQC College/Flatmate AU
I’m picturing them all living in the same building of a shitty apartment in Loveland City. They visit each other and get into shenanigans because they’re all trying to sabotage each other getting closer to MC without her knowing which is...actually super easy cuz she’s oblivious as all get out. Not realizing this she often tries to get them together to hang out and be “neighborly.” This is a 6 apartment kinda building. Victor now has both 1A and 1B, Lucien has 1C, Kiro has 2A, you’re in 2B, and Gavin is 2C
MC: A film studies student starting her third year. Recently took a semester off after her father died and had to move out of the dorms due to financial issues. She’s living at the apartment complex due to it being cheap, and gets a lot of life help from her .. super hot neighbors?? At school, her friends Anna, Kiki, and Willow are always helping her out since she’s a semester behind them in classes. She also can be found running around town doing odd jobs for people (city stroll) to bring in a little extra money!
Victor: Self made, young CEO of a highly successful start up. Turned down multi billion dollar offers to buy his company from corporations globally to keep LFG independent. Lives in this shitty apartment building because “You don’t get successful by being wasteful” and has lived there since before the startup took off/before he himself graduated. He cooks all his own food and is super grumpy all the time, but he’s also the one who takes care of the apartments’s gardens because, “organic or die bitch. Here’s some vegetables but only because I can’t eat them all and not because I like you and care about your obviously neglected health.” He seemingly hates you because you’re often up into the dead of the night pacing around with anxiety above his unit. But often, when he texts you, “come down to my flat, 5 minutes or less,” to ream you out, he usually does it over a SUPER nice coffee and some snacks, and OH wait, his computer is still on and he’s still in his work clothes, was he still up too?
Gavin: Lives there because it’s equidistant from both the University and the Police Academy. While he majors in criminal justice, he already has cadet status at the Academy and a guaranteed position as a detective once he’s graduated. It also helps that the rent is cheap and no one asks him where he goes for weeks at a time, BUT is ALWAYS happy to tease and tell you about the terribly scary crime scenes he’s been away at because he, “like to see you squirm” but really just likes to scare you into texting him more at night. He’s a tough guy with a big heart that’s always telling you about how you can keep yourself more safe at night, and “Oh by the way I fixed your faucet because that squeaking echoes all around the building and while I was at it I tuned up your ac and blahblahblah.” Keeps his bike under the stairs and has scared you more than once saying “good morning” to you as you walk down them.
Kiro: Lives there because, even though he’s actually a famous pop star, none of his fans would suspect he’s actually living in one of the shittiest apartment complexes in all of Loveland. The people of the neighborhood just cannot put it together that it’s THE Kiro, so actually doesn’t have the wear disguises when he’s close to home and loves taking you out to the shopping district to get groceries together. He IS majoring in computer science at Loveland Uni, but you’ve NEVER seen him on campus or in any classes. However, one day you found out he’s actually the valedictorian when his dean’s list letter gets delivered to you by accident. Fewdie Friends For Lyfe: he’s the only guy at the complex you’ve actually had an impromptu sleepover with because you both just passed the F out after binge watching terrible old movies in preparation for him starring in a remake and simultaneously crashing from your respective sugar highs.
Lucien: No one knows how long he’s been at Loveland Uni, is he a senior? A masters student? A PhD? post doc? professor? He seemingly works in the neuroscience department doing lab work, but you’ve seen him sitting in on some of your general education classes.....but also eating lunch, laughing with professors.... and a few times showing important looking people around the university...??? He’s an enigma, but lives at the complex because it’s “the cheapest place to store his extra books....” accurate since he rarely comes home to sleep, but when he’s around, you love hanging out with him because he’s a walking encyclopedia of interesting knowledge that has done nothing but inspire you to write award winning papers and projects! One time you were running late to your final exam in your worst subject after helping a little boy find his mother, but when the professor was ready to tell you, “too bad, so sad, FAIL” Lucien pops in to save the day. “Sorry I wouldn’t let her leave. She was helping me with research paramount to my latest discovery and I just did not hear her tell me multiple times that she had to get going to a very important exam.” Never mind taking the exam later, you professor just passes you and you’ve got no idea what kind of voodoo magic made that happen.
