any similar good game recs?

as far as i know, there’s no exact replica of mysme that has the same game mechanics of interactive texting and calling.

however, if you’re looking for a game that has similar characteristics of an otome visual novel like mystic messenger (interactive choices, good plot, and romance), i’ve found some games that might be of interest.

hello. what does it mean when characters use ;;;?

ok so you know how emojis are a way to represent one’s feeling(s) over text? “;;;” is a way to express the character is flustered over text

each character has a specific color heart. 

jumin= purple heart

yoosung= green heart

jaehee= yellow heart

zen= grey heart

707= red heart

when you first start playing and you see a specific heart color more than others, it’s most likely you’ll have more hearts for that character. for example, if you see green hearts often bc it’s easy to get yoosung to like you, you’re most likely to get yoosung’s route. 

HOWEVER, be careful not to get equal amounts of hearts for several characters OR get more hearts for jumin and 707 due to the following reasons

1. equal amounts of hearts will lead to a bad ending and you’ll have to restart your progress over again (however, i believe you can get a CG from this, so if you wanna get it out of the way)

2. jumin and 707 are part of the ‘deep story’ option so if you’re on the casual story option and you get more hearts for either of those two, you’ll get a bad ending bc they’re not unlocked for casual story. casual story consists of yoosung, jaehee, and zen’s route.

Hi! I've just started to play mystic messenger, but I don't really quite get how it goes. There are two modes, normal and deep or something like that, I know that depending on which one you're playing you can end up with certain characters. But can you explain it in a little more depth? Also how do you go by a certain route? And how long is the game approximately? If you feel like there's something else that would be useful for my game experience that would be appreciated. Thank you so much 😘

Welcome to the dark side!   I’m really bad at explaining but I’m going to try my best

Normal route consists of three characters: Yoosung (blondie) Jaehee (gal pal) ZEN (dude with the rat tail). It is recommended that you start with this route first bc normal route does a good job of providing you background information and explains the plot/story well so you’ll be able to understand the context of what’s going on. 

Deep route consists of two characters: 707 (red-head) Jumin (CEO). You have to spend a bit more hourglasses (the game’s currency) for this route, which is why normal route is recommended to play first so you’ll be able to save hourglasses to unlock the deep route. In deep route, that’s when a lot of information that’s classified as spoilers are revealed, thus why normal route is recommended to be played first. 

Additionally, extra content aka DLCs have been released. You can check them out after completing a character’s route.

As for how long the game is, there’s really no exact time. How the game works is that it’s meant to be played for 11 days in real time, however if you can’t play for 11 days consecutively, you can speed it up by using hourglasses to unlock all the content. But, eventually you’ll run out of hourglasses and you’ll have to shell out real money to buy in-game currency to finish the game. Also, if you’re busy and don’t have time to play each chatroom, you can save and resume later at your convenience.

Does your MysMe passcode lockscreen thing work for android?

i made it with an iPhone template so i think if it’s used for Android, it wouldn’t be as realistic bc of the different passcode setup but aethestic-wise, i think it should work the same??

hi, sorry to bother you, but i was wondering if you would mind if i asked you something? I just wrote a short mm fic where MC has an anxiety attack over the bomb in the apartment, and it would be my very first story posted to my ao3 account. I like how it turned out, but I'm nervous to actually publish it. Does the premise sound interesting to you?

im always a hoe for mm fic so ofc the plot sounds interesting to me :^) but srsly!! you should post it, im sure a lot of ppl would rather have mc be realistic in a scenario where there’s a bomb bc lbr mc in the route barely reacted at all.

1. brilliance to the height of it, ally. but who am i even talking to, of course your exchange was going to be brilliant. my heart broke for jasmine. when you are in love for so long and so deep, oftentimes it becomes a larger priority of your life. but I absolutely adored the character development of jasmine. best of all, harry was a massive heart here. so sweet, so attentive, so caring. Thalia was right ehen she said he would do her good.

2. i can’t even believe it all took place in merely two nights and one day. the characters were all so good and real, have me swooning over them, even Niall and Thalia are cutieees af. world get yourself best friends like them because a girl who thinks of her best friend/cousin on her wedding day, is one to hold on tightly. of course the ending was so, so, so fucking hot. need I say that? but thank you so much for this gorgeous piece. enjoyed it from A to Z.
