based on headcanons, but also has a lot of influences from earth 616 and earth 92131
my influence does not include any cheating plots bc I hate cheating plots & also hate love triangles
my scott's optic blasts are a complicated mix of both thermal and kinetic energy
because of the above, his abilities have permanently damaged his body, leaving scott permanently blind as well as missing eyelids (he burned his own eyes & eyelids really bad), later with the help of charles xavier he would get eyelid prosthetics that would allow him to close his eyes
connected to the above his body is resistant but not immune to his powers. although his eyes themselves will never fully burned/be destroyed it HURTS for him to use his powers. although he's grown to have a fairly high pain tolerance he does have chronic eye pain, neck pain and migraines from using his powers. sometimes the pain is so bad afterward he cries
his visor allows him to switch between doing thermal and kinetic energy so he doesn't have to deal with risking setting something or someone on fire all the time
his visor & sunglasses allow him to walk around with his eyes open instead of closed. although he is blind/visually impaired he can see blobs and shadows and he overall would prefer to spend most of his time with his eyes open as he finds it more comfortable
scott can also "see" through detecting nearby thermal energies (thermal vision). everyone's thermal signature looks unique/distinct to him
Madelyne Pryor is a clone of Jean who was manipulated by Mr. Sinister to think she was Jean. Scott is not stupid and sensed that there was something off about Madelyne/"Jean." As his concern for "Jean" grew his mental barriers/shields came down and Madelyne took advantage of it to FORCE Scott into thinking she was Jean. Madelyne in turn was being controlled by Mr. Sinister (aka Madelyne did not manipulate/control Scott out of her own free will).
my scott is a trans man whose DNA was stolen and combined with madelyne's through cloning, resulting in nathan summers

scott has a complicated relationship with madelyne as he knows she was just as much a victim of mr. sinister as he was, however her direct manipulation of his mind has led to him feeling generally uncomfortable around her
I am open to shipping with jean writers as myself am a HUGE jean fan, however I am also open to other ships including poly ships as well
