*Alan Watts' ideas greatly influence Ataxia's philosophy, especially his ideas about "irreducible rascality".
*Glass Animals (especially the ZABA album) and In This Moments' music were definitely inspirations when imagining Ataxia's energies. Kind of... an obscure, visceral weirdness and savage spirituality. "Half God Half Devil" is probably their theme song.
*Prince's hair and fashion-sense is just too fabulous. Needed me some of that.
*Ataxia is a Circle of Spores Druid, so I wanted some good, icky slime mold on here. While Ataxia enjoys the finer things in life, they also enjoy its decay, the dirt, and the things that spring from it.
*I actually made them the colors of the nonbinary flag to help emphasize their gender, lol. Also it's a fucking good color scheme. Also they are intersex and that flag is similar colors, so it's perfect.
*Ataxia runs an apothecary on the edge of whatever habitat they are drawn to. Much like Count D and his pet shop, it's got that mysterious and shady feeling to it. They often feign innocence while running a much more nefarious market. ...But truly, they are there to help. ;)
*Grell Sutcliffe is a gender non-conforming actress with a taste for bloodshed, beautiful, fiendish people, and extravagance. She shares many traits with Ataxia. Also I think I was drawn to that sharp teeth and glasses look...
*When I imagine how Ataxia looks in their shop, I think of how Yuuko Ichihara lounges about on her furniture. Also Ataxia loves imbibing substances with others, too, heh heh.
