A request elbow’s oc, Ciara. It was rather fun to make and it’s always enjoyable to paint a full piece.
After I came back to Saskatoon from Medicine Hat, I told my parents that my life would be a lot easier at college if I had a car. Since my roommates (who all possessed cars) were a bunch of fuckwits, we never did anything like get groceries together or go to the gallery our student shows were in. I biked the two blocks to school and then took the bus to the grocery story usually, and even that was really hard some days. I never got to go to the gallery to see student or teacher shows even though I asked my roommate in the same program to take me. I hardly went out unless it was for groceries, period.
So my dad started looking for used cars through a members-only car auction company he has access to. He went into it thinking I'd get a 2010-2011 Madza or Hyundai. But then my mom started expressing interest in having a new car. Our current 'second vehicle' is a little 1996 Suzuki Esteem, and it's the car I learned to drive on. It's worth about jack shit now so we plan to drive it until it's dead.
Dad was kind of averse to get a new car, but mom is the boss so she gets what she wants and what she got was a 2013 Kia Forte (automatic and not standard boooo). So the plan is that I get to 'borrow' the Forte for the two years I still have in school and then Mom gets it back in all it's shiny blue glory. I say boo because I prefer driving a standard but I've driven the Forte around enough to know that I'll love the car anyway. And did I say it's BLUE?? Either way this means I can finally maybe have a life when I'm in Medicine Hat, and since my roommates are already lined up I WILL HAVE PEOPLE TO DRIVE AROUND WITH WOO!
