As someone who legally does science stuff, I know for a fact that Ann and Chishiya probably knows how to make bacteria broth.

It's actually not that hard to do. Bacteria are little shits and can and will infect whatever they can chew on. Even soup. They will eat your soup.

On a funnier note, imagine Chishiya, out of his usual calm but very aggressive mini-war with Niragi, decides to make a little bacteria soup, collect Niragi's.... Niragi-ness, chills it for a day to develop, then comes back and shows him the dish with the colony and goes "See how disgusting you are?" even though he knows full well that humans are just like that and Niragi's no more special than the next guy.

I'm re-listening to wtnv again and the character development Cecil goes through is amazing. In Pilot he is colder, more professional, more eerie. In later episodes he becomes more passionate, endearing, human. It may be that he just became less professional with the arrival of our favorite scientist, but I like to think falling in love warmed and softened Cecil or at least helped him open up.
