black hole love
Byulyi knows there are at least 20 years of her life that she lived without having known Yongsun. She knows this, and yet there’s nothing from that time that she can recall ever living. It feels like Yongsun is as essential to her being as food, water, sleep, and air. And the sun. She feels it’s probably bad to be so soley dependent on another person, but at this point, Yongsun to her is more than someone she loves.
People describe their partners as their other halves. Byulyi doesn’t think that. She is a whole person on her own. But she was a whole person when she cried, she was a whole person when she failed, she was a whole person when she almost gave up all of her dreams. She was whole, but she was empty. Yongsun fills her up.
And like a black hole, Byulyi’s appetite is voracious. She’s a bottomless pit, and if she could give herself credit, she would say it’s because she spends so much of that energy loving Yongsun. Or maybe she spends it all trying to restrain herself, because loving Yongsun is easy. It might be the easiest thing she does, because she doesn’t have to think about it, and she’s never had to second guess it.
Her love, it’s depths are infinite, and it’s pull is irresistible.
this is the initial draft of the soft epilogue, but i realized i was just making 8000 more metaphors and i already did that for 6 chapters. but i already wrote this so just...idk take it as a think piece i guess lmao
maybe i should start writing poetry instead it’ll be epics at this point smh my waxing romantic ass
