Motherland
{ A little green bird resemblant of Bean the Dynamite- standing at only 4 feet tall while others pushed ten- stood on a stool next to his workbench. This little fellow's name was Moat. His eyes were carved out, replaced with mouths- his left eye having a tongue permanently lulling out of it. He had only two little buck teeth in his beak, and fangs sticking out of his body in random spots. }
{ Another was in the room with him, a monster only vaguely resemblant of Julie-su- covered in teeth and mouths, too large for living to be comfortable. }
||Nock, how have you been doing? Fine, I hope.. I've been- struggling myself.|| { The bird kept talking before Nock- the echidna- could even get a word out. }
||Life is naught but a tower of struggles- stretching to heights that not one being can reach.. Thankfully, we are multiple- no? I've a deep-seated love for this community, how it has brought us together and made insurmountable strength impenetrable by giving it company. And.. Here, dear. It should take the weight off your limbs.||
{ Moat smiled with the both of his eye-mouths, offering Nock what seemed to look like something for posture. The echidna tried taking it- unable to clasp anything in her fingers. The woodpecker sighed, clambering up her to help snap it on. }
i'm sorry..
||No, heavens no- don't apologize! You were made flawed, as was I- that is not your fault or anything to blame yourself for. Everyone needs a little help now and again, no matter how strong or smart they may be- support...|| { He hopped off Nock, finally securing the machinery- gesturing her up to her feet. She did- and unlike her usual flinching and groaning, she kept stable. } ||Is a universal need! There, love, you got that?||
i do! thank you, moat. thank you!
||No thanks is needed! Seeing that weight off your shoulders is enough for me- the reward is your gain. Now, carry on! You have a Goddess to serve, and I have more to aid.||
{ Moat has been.. Dealing with the weaker hunters for a while now. They didn't use to be so deficient- they grew in numbers over the years. Moat, unable to combat due to unfortunate mutations in his bones and body- stuck behind due to his service being more needed at home than out in the world. }
{ It wasn't frustrating, no, but it was disappointing. Mother was supposed to be all powerful- but it seemed the constant creation is slowly withering her away. }
{ Moat wondered how long it'd take until his enhancements couldn't help functioning any longer. The thought scared him- Nock and every other Hunter were his siblings. }
{ ... }
{ No point in pessimism, you have what you have- so fix it! }
