I’ve always imagined them with tattoos, Maria having more meaningful floral tattoos and Marcos…. Getting whatever he wants… But he still wanted to match with Maria so he got a similar chest tattoo as a symbol of their familial bond!
Hopper: ( What the hell…. I feel frozen in place…. Why do I feel such…. Dread… and…. Anxiety….? It’s almost as if there’s someone…. No… a crowd of people, is watching me… )
Hopper: “I felt my adrenaline going through the roof. For what reason, I still not sure, I have nothing to prove what caused this sudden rise of anxiety within me.
But for a small period of time, I felt so… small and helpless… I felt as if timed had stopped just for the world to stare at me… I was completely frozen in a place, just begging anyone to free me from this spell..”
Hopper: ( What’s going on with me?! I’m sweating like a freaking maniac!)
Hopper: “All of a sudden, I felt as if one giant being was looking down at me. Like an ant being observed with a magnifying glass.
I felt as if my chest were being weighted down by a stack of bricks. The shivers have worsened and transformed into me practically vibrating with fear. My flight or fight response was really acting up but I didn’t know what to do, like a deer in headlights, I was unable to move.”
Hopper: “then I heard what sounded like someone whispering in my ear… A very soft and monotone voice whispering…”
???: “join her… join… US…”
Hopper: “My heart rate skyrocket and my fright response kicked in….I broke my trance and I whipped my head back to face whatever was behind me.”
Hopper: “But… no one was there…”
Hopper: “ I was relieved that no one was there… I took deep breaths to calm myself… the adrenaline was still kicking in after all…”
Hopper: ( I must have been going crazy. For a moment, I could have sworn I heard someone whisper in my ear… )
???: Hey!
Hopper: “When she tugged my sleeve, that brought me back into reality. I jolted and stared at her blankly in response.”
???: I can promise that nothing bad will happen… I just say that your my babysitter or something… I’m sure papa will appreciate you helping me!”
Hopper: “For a moment I just starred at her, not knowing what to say. For whatever reason, I felt like I had no choice but to help her….”
Hopper: “Alright… I’ll go… now let’s hurry, we don’t want to worry your dad any longer and get the wrong idea…”
Hopper: “ I don’t know what obligated me to finally agree, perhaps my manic fever dream or not wanting her to get hurt… I’m not sure… just that I had no idea what I was getting into…”
Hopper: “I was doing a robbery when I got caught. I don’t even remember what I was even stealing, probably something stupid…. But the police came and arrested me. But I resisted at first, kicking and punching and making a ruckus. They then in return started to fight back and after an attempt to flee, they tased me and finally arrested me. They dragged me to the police station and took my mugshot and threw me in jail.”
Hopper: “They then wanted to make an example out of me and gave me a couple years in prison.
After four years, I got released early. Since I didn’t have anything on me, except my clothes and cigarettes, they let me go with no issues. Since I didn’t have a car, or really anything, I had to walk a long while before I got to the main part of the city. I decided to walk through the park and smoke since it’s been years since I had a smoke.”
Hopper: “Crazy how in a matter of years, how much the city has changed. Time certainly goes by much slower when your incarcerated…”
Hopper: “It was a quiet night, oddly peaceful for how crazy this city can be. I was just taking a stroll and looking for a bench to sit on when I came across a bench, but there was someone sitting there. Quite the oddity, considering it’s late at night in a crime ridden city.”
Hopper: “What a idiot… Maybe they can be taught a lesson for being out so late…. Just a scare, wouldn’t want to over do it and go back to prison…”
Hopper: “I tapped the top of their head to get their attention.”
???: “Huh?”
Hopper: “Turn around….”
Hopper: “They turned around and…..
They saw me towering over them. I could only imagine what they thought. But when they turned around, I honestly wasn’t expecting what I saw.”
Hopper: “ A little girl with tears in her eyes, a scar on her face, with no adult for miles.”
???: “*sniffles*…”
