Yeah so uhh…I think I found my new favorite genre of book…
WIP of Orpheus from A Soul To Keep.
I love fictional romance with incalculable, fantasy age differences.
This god who's existence spans back to the dawn of mankind has now fallen in love with a 25-year-old twink. This 10,000 year old demon who was born in hell during the end of the last ice age is hopelessly devoted to their human girlfriend who works at a coffee shop. The ageless, eldritch shadow beast from beyond the veil is obsessed with the arborist who entered their forest domain to catalogue bark and leaf samples. This immortal elf who watched civilizations grow and fall and has outlived entire clans and generations of their people gets butterflies from the smile of their human companion as they sit by the campfire.
The age difference is *technically* there, but it's so absurdly exaggerated that it doesn't reflect real world age gaps whatsoever, that it reaches into abstract territory, and does not mirror any of the typical impacts, harm, or challenges such a disparity would pose in reality. It's just, "ancient being learns to love for the first time due to the serendipitous meeting of one very special mortal who they can only cling to for what is proportionately a brief moment of their existence, but that brief moment is the most important and precious thing they've ever experienced".
When the monster book boyfriend said he’ll kill the men who harmed her the morning after they fuck
Posting my art!! 😍
I love, love, love LOVE the "Duskwalker Brides" series by Opal Reyne. It's delicious, it's dark, it's smutty, it's romance off the charts, and it's MONSTERS! 😩
(if you haven't read it, go right now this very minute. Best. Series. Ever.)
So, naturally, being an artist, I had to draw each of the main monster men in a little cutesy chubby form 🤭❤️
Enjoy the finished products of Orpheus (book 1), Magnar (book 2), Faunus (book 3), and Merikh (book 4)!
The twins from books 5 + 6 are started, but are just a sketch for now 🤭❤️
And I've sent the author herself these, asking for permission to sell arts of them all - and she said yes!! 😍
We're working on the contract now, so stay tuned for some official Duskwalker Brides Merch!!!

AGGHHHH so like I have finished the ENTIRE Duskwalker Brides Series and the prequels.

I’ve listened to alllllll of the audiobooks at least 3 times each…
It deeply hurts me that I don’t have ANY fics to read of these characters DEEPLY
