Kinda wanna reread this webcomic from back in my day where we follow a cell as it grows into a crow then a crowman who maybe be a crowwomen because last I left off on it they were trying on a dress in a house with similar cell people who grew into other being, questioning their physical identity after learning about gender and the idea of the strongest survives and pal you one of the strong. The art looked like it was made with color pencil.
It was also on drunkduck webcomic site at the same time as mod ties, Charby the Vampirate, and that one comic series where a mom, who an Otaku, with her friends is taking of her kid and they have a pet duck.
