Itsuki watches Ron play with Koharu, his heart swelling as he sees his brother and his daughter laugh. Someone’s missing, he thinks, but he hears the door open and Itsuki turns to welcome him home, always have perfect timing, huh.
“Sometimes, it feels like you hear my thoughts,” Itsuki had said.
“Welcome home,” Itsuki says, moving forward and placing a kiss over Heishi’s lips.
Before he can pull away completely, Heishi wraps his arms around his neck. “I’m home.” He says, and kisses him again.
Heishi had grinned, “Really? Maybe you were just hearing mine.”
It wasn’t that he doted on them alright, get off his back already geez, but sometimes he can’t help buying them anything they want. And though technically they are older than him, Yojiro couldn’t help spoiling them a little (a lot of spoiling, Yuyama-san would say, forcing Yojiro to look at anywhere but her. She’d take his wallet then, taking charge of his money for at least a week to make sure he has enough for the rest of the month).
But well he can’t help it. Their innocence about the world pulled at his heartstrings and they were his idols, or people he’d only read about in books, consumed any media he could about them, dedicated himself to any aspect about them.
So, when Sakamoto-sama (Ryoma-san, sometimes, in his head, when he was feeling brave enough) announced a new game with swords that included his very own sword he couldn’t not play it.
And well, turns out, this game had sentient beings too after all.
Maybe this could be his present to them? (He may have... dedicated too much money... again.)
(Yuyama-san now keeps tabs on his weekly spending, and really, he’s not a child Yuyama-san. Wait, did Yuyama-san enlist Takatsuki-kun’s help?!)
Everything was quiet around the house as Dai cleans up the remains of the Christmas party the kids had insisted on throwing. They’re his kids, he thinks, even if they were the ones who protect him and Kanade from danger.
His kids, still kids even if they’re warriors, curious and overjoyed with things around them.
He looks for Kanade to see if the other needs his help, and he finds him standing outside the door to the kids’ room.
“Are you--” he stops short when he sees the tears in Kanade’s eyes, but he looks proud, happy. “What’s wrong?”
In Kanade’s hand is a wrapped package, and when Dai reads the tag it says ‘Merry Christmas! We love you!’
They’re their kids, Dai thinks, no matter the circumstances.
Inukai looks beside him, watching Reika asleep and peaceful. Though he’s sitting by the aisle, he looks out the window as the plane descends. This year they’ve been travelling a lot again, but it was always a welcome reprieve to come home.
Home.
It’s so many places now, they’ve met so many people, have come to love so many people, and these days it’s looking like home isn’t a place anymore. Maybe it never was a place, it’s always been that person since the beginning, calling them his princes and him their Producer-san.
Inukai leans over, presses a kiss on Reika’s forehead. “We’re home,” he whispers,
--
He’s a lot older now, Inuou Tsubaki, looks closer to his age than he ever was while Reika and Inukai look older but still not close to their actual ages. Though so many things have changed throughout the years, Inukai still reaches for his hand to place a kiss. “We’re home, Producer-san,” he says, a little teasing with the old nickname.
“We missed you,” Reika says, reaching for his other hand and then pulling him into a hug.
They’re all smiling this time, the time of their separation never painful anymore because they always know they’ll always have this home.

Who knew a mobile game he played years ago doomed him to this sort of life. Well, Yojiro thinks, doomed might be too harsh. Truth be told, he’s actually a little happier with his life. He gained himself more family.
-
Before
Yojiro isn’t the type to get addicted, okay, he’s just, well, he’s the dedicated sort.
Knowing his propensity for obsessing (not obsessed, dedicated, he’d insist) over anything history related, specifically Sakamoto Ryoma-history related, his fellow TA (and honestly, Yojiro does not gossip, but he knows that Takatsuki-kun is interested in more than literature if his longing glances at the head of the Literature Department were anything to go by) had approached him, phone in hand, and shown him this app of idol as princes or was it princes as idols? The terms are a still little lost on him. But the important thing was, Sakamoto Ryoma.
As a special collaboration, the mobile game introduced Sakamoto Ryoma, Takasugi Shinsaku, and Katsura Kogoro as a special idol unit available only for a limited amount of time. From their set-up, they were not so much as idols but a rock band. Katsura took up the drums, Takasugi the bass, and Sakamoto Ryoma the lead vocals and guitar. Of course, the renditions of the characters were different from the looks of the actual people but Yojiro didn’t mind.
It took him awhile (and probably an insurmountable amount of money spent for a mobile game, that he’d later deny), before he even acquired the whole unit. (He will also deny that he almost cried when it was the last day and he was still missing Katsura. Luck was on his side and gave him Katsura in the last hour of scouting.) As much as he wanted Sakamoto Ryoma, he also wanted the whole unit so.
He’s the dedicated sort.
Later, he found out, that to unlock the full potential of idol princes, the user had to participate in events. It was better to participate when you had the whole unit with you. Events were not a joke for the mobile game as it required players to travel to locations. The event styles varied, but it was always whoever had the highest score or stood last, they would be declared the winner.
And, well, he won.
It didn’t hit him at first; he’d resigned himself, if only a little, that it couldn’t be possible for him to win. He was a casual player (a lie); his interest only lied within one unit (the truth). But his dedication seemed to be enough and when he looked up to see his handle flashed on the big screen, outside he only smiled, but on the inside he was cheering with joy, probably crying a little. (He had the cool, calm, and collected image to keep up. Bullshit, Yuyama-san would say.)
Turns out, this mobile game was no ordinary mobile game. It was the day after, that he woke up to three very naked, very much alive, Ultra☆Rock Samurai in his room rummaging and poking curiously at his things.
