Who are the mods?
Currently, we are a team of two looking to add two more if we move forward. Alex will be in charge of finances and shipping, while Star will take care of the layout of the zine and a few other graphic design duties. More information on Alex can be found on their carrd.
What is the general idea behind this zine?
As the name states, this project would focus on the members of the Zoldyck family household! This does include the butlers, guards, and our favorite pet, Mike.
Will characters outside of the Zoldycks and their staff be allowed?
Members outside of the family would be permitted in low amounts, granted they are not the main focus of the piece.
What does the schedule look like?
This is a work-in-progress until stated otherwise, but currently it looks like this:
Mod applications: Sept 15 - Oct 12
Contributor applications: Oct 26 - Nov 23
Creation period: Dec 1 - Mar 28
Preorders: Apr 15 - May 16
Shipping: Late June/Early July
Is this a for-profit or charity zine?
This project will be for charity. All proceeds after production costs will be donated to
The International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse & Neglect.
Who will be able to participate?
The numbers will be decided upon at a later date, but we would be happy to include artists (both comics and illustrations), merch artists, writers, and cosplayers.
Is this zine going to feature abuse?
As anyone who has watched and/or read Hunter x Hunter is fully aware, the Zoldyck are known not only for being an infamous family of assassins but also for the abhorrent way they treat their children. To be 100% clear, this zine is not supportive of that abuse and neglect. This should go without saying, but we are in no way advocates for their way of living. It was a conscious decision to include the entire family because despite this, there are plenty of other opportunities for the characters to interact (or choose not to interact. In addition, we also chose to include the staff who live on the mountain to encourage more diverse pieces.
