Kaz was originally born in Barovia and escaped with his mother during the dusk elf genocide only to be separated (her fate is unknown but likely... not.... promising 😔).

Our DM did such a delightful job with the Kasimir dad reveal too it's still probably one of my favourite game moments, Kaz and him continue to bond trying to make up for lost time given it's been... about 100 years or so since that.

He’s Oliver! We don’t really know a lot about him (yet), since he just showed up last session... ((SPOILERS ?)) he’s the crow (raven?) that’s been following our party from the start of the campaign, and since, y’know, Strahd’s crest has a whole raven on it we (I) kind of assumed he was his spy/minion. 

Turns out he was just looking out for us! So uhh... my cleric now needs to apologize for that one time he chucked some rocks at him. And then scared him away with his familiar. And grabbed him by the tail.

Yeah uhm. Poor Oliver😬
