Great cup. 4" Tall, 4" Diameter (+ Handle). One chip and weird abrasions on top and bottom edge. I love the brown drizzle glaze. It's like a S'more. I wish that the use of terminology was tighter for these items. I would call this a large mochaware cup. Some call this yellowware, but this is too early (1800 +/-). Others call pearlware mochaware. Feel free to chime in. #mochaware #yellowware #bigoldcup @iowacityart (at Iowa City Art & Antiques) https://www.instagram.com/p/CXfbuOzsyEK/?utm_medium=tumblr
Villeroy & Boch Mochaware Coffee Pot The earliest this piece can be is 1836. In 1836, Jean-François Boch merged with the successful stoneware producer, Nicolas Villeroy, to form the Villeroy & Boch company. #mochaware #villeroyandboch #19thcenturycoffeepot @iowacityart (at Iowa City Art & Antiques) https://www.instagram.com/p/CXVKGp4McQO/?utm_medium=tumblr
