@mohiican / cause we kinda plotted a starter
The list of things Athena hates in and about the Capitol far outweighs the few things she does like. She likes the food and drinks, and some of the other victors, but that’s about it. Those few things hardly make up for the pain of being a victor, a mentor, and one of the Capitols private whores sweethearts. The moments when she has to be both a mentor and a rich man or women’s plaything is the worst. But this year, the 74th Hunger Games is different. She can practically feel it in her bones. The moment that a young teen from Twelve had the guts to volunteer she knew that things would be different.
So this year she makes a point of being an involved mentor even when she knows neither of her tributes has a possibility of winning. Hell the female from Four had died in the bloodbath this year. Yet she still makes small talk with other mentors and the game makers. She does everything and anything to get into the heart of a storm that continues to brew with every moment the girl on fire is still on the screen. The murmuring of a revolution has started if you knew the right places to listen for them.
“ You know they say it's a curse to live in interesting times,” she says slipping into the empty seat by Uncas. They aren’t particularly good friends, but he had been the victor before her and someone close to her age. They always had at least some casual conversation when they were both in the Capitol. Plus all the victors at least got along. “ I think I can finally understand why they might say that. What do you think about it ?”
