watching him turn for the first time had been painful for her. but nowhere near as painful as it was for him. so betty was determined to find some way to ease both of their pain. after some research, she was able to find the spell for a moonlight ring. the hardest part was finding the actual moonstone, all of which she did without telling jughead about it. the last thing she wanted was for him to get his hopes up only for her to crush them. aftera couple of weeks, she managed to find one and started on the spell. it wasn’t until it was complete that she actually talked to jughead about what she had been doing. one day after school, she pulls him into an empty classroom. “i have something for you.”

Aurora didn’t really understand what precisely it was that Cheryl saw in Jughead, but Aurora supposed it didn’t much matter.  If Cheryl wanted her boy from the wrong-side of the tracks, well, she supposed it saved Aurora the trouble of having to crush her if Cheryl had been foolish enough to pursue Lucien.  And, Aurora supposed, Jughead was quite loyal.  Cheryl deserved that.  Especially after everything that she’d been through of late.  “You know Jughead, it’s a rare man who makes me change my mind.”  she told him with a soft smile.  “And even rarer that I’m wrong.  Shall we spare all of that and just be friends?”

“If you kiss me again, I’ll punch you.” She only said it once they were alone, everyone else was watching some guy doing a kegstand. Once the threat was out, she shot him a little teasing smile to soften it. Just a little. They were friends and she didn’t want to just get rid of him because of one....hiccup. 

So she just elbowed him and shifted her weight, keeping an eye out for Luka, but apparently him and a few buddies were setting up fireworks or some other dumb shit. He was so lucky he was sweet and cute. “What’re you doing out here? This kinda party doesn’t seem like your style.” Says the loner who is also holding a red plastic cup full of cheap beer.

Clary looks at Jughead, not able to imagine what he’s going through. She doesn’t want to add to his pain but she needs to tell him what was sent to her. “I’m sorry about your dad. I know you guys weren’t close but I’m sorry just the same.” If it had been her own father, she’s sure that she would have conflicting feelings about it as well. And if it was Luke? She’s not to sure she could handle it. “I need to talk to you about something though. Before anyone does anything rash.”

He spots the werewolf across the compound. Klaus takes an interest because he’d heard that he is Hayley’s cousin. And anyone that was in Hayley’s life, potentially Hope’s, he wants to be aware of. Using his vampire speed, he catches up to the boy quickly and stands in front of him. “I don’t think we’ve met. I’m Klaus.” The smile he gives is sickly sweet, hiding something mischievous beneath the surface.
