I don't think either of them has done anything "dark" together that they wouldn't immediately brag about. Did they murder a house full of people? Yes, and they're immediately bragging about it to piss off Elijah. I'd love an au where Klaus actually does turn Aurora, and I think that might be kept a secret for at least a little while, but, generally speaking, I think they're both pretty content to revel in their darkness, and I think they'd pretty happily talk about it.

I don't know about "realize," but I think Tristan "acknowledged" it as love first. Probably around the first time the Count let Tristan participate in discussions about marriage alliances, but you'd be a better source here than I am.

I think Tristan "accepted" it first, though I wouldn't really say that he "fell" first.

They don't argue about petty things often because Tristan generally gives Aurora her way. Occasionally, he'll indulge her in an argument if he gets the sense that she's looking for an argument, and they might "fight" over a party theme or something.

I'm not going to count any of the times when they were human or compelled because I make the rules and I decided that I don't want to use those times. After the compulsion broke, Aurora said it first. And she took his face in her hands and made sure to make him look at her and told him "I love you, Tristan." to make sure that he knew that she was coming out of the post-compulsion psychosis.

💍 Would they ever get married? What would the proposal look like?

They've never had a wedding, but they have introduced themselves as husband and wife at times. Tristan has given her plenty of rings over the centuries and they've considered having an actual wedding, but it's never actually happened. Historically it's fallen apart in the planning process and has, on at least two occasionally, been the trigger that leads Aurora down the path of thinking she needs an exorcism.

Neither of them do because they were compelled for a century and this is another thing that Elijah stole from them.

It's a piece of music that they both wrote together that they especially love and I have no talent whatsoever when it comes to music so I can't describe it.

Tristan is both a morning person and a night owl. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised there was some sleep that linked them so that Aurora was sleeping for Tristan.

Tristan. It's the only time that he isn't thinking.

Aurora tries to cover as much of Tristan's body with her own as possible and kisses his hair and whispers to him in French until he calms down.

...I genuinely don't know. I want to say Tristan does, but I'm not 100% convinced. Aurora gets jealous and is more of a crash out about it than he is whereas I think Tristan gets jealous, begins to investigate if there's an actual threat and realizes that there isn't one. Meanwhile Aurora is jealous and she's either setting someone on fire or she's screaming, crying, throwing up about how she deserves this.

They would go on a train ride across Europe that SURPRISE is a murder mystery party.

Equal. The Strix really wish they would stop.

Considering that they're both so open about their relationship, I don't think there's any deep dark secret

They both do. Aurora likes to leave things in his suit pockets or desk drawers. They both leave notes for each other in books or in sheet music.

Aurora. Because she's been feeling neglected. And she's demanding his attention.

Everyone around them is terrified because if Tristan is sick, that's a very bad sign, and if Aurora is sick, everyone is scared of what Tristan will do to see her well again. If Tristan's sick, Aurora is alternating between holding him and fussing over him, and going and berating the Sisters that they can't undo whatever curse has befallen him (if Tristan's sick, he clearly must have been cursed). If it's truly dire, she might throw in some praying for him and lighting candles for saints, which probably makes Tristan heal out of panic that Aurora may fall into religion again.

Both. And the Strix hide the body.

Yes. They like both. Aurora's name is connected to the dawn, but they've also named stars for each other so both types of dates inspire a lot of poetry.

Aurora says Tristan has this quirk when he's writing music that she finds very sweet, but she hasn't specified what exactly it is.

Aurora is the queen. Tristan even gave her several crowns. And they like to play the queen and her advisor sometimes.

        gia stared at her for a long, quiet second. it was the kind of silence that wasn’t thoughtful or wounded, just … done. aurora’s laughter, the casual dismissal, the implication that gia served no purpose beyond being furniture with fangs. she truly should not be surprised anymore. it just confirmed every suspicion she’d formed within the first five minutes of meeting her.

       "wow," she said finally, the word flat as stone. she leaned back against the nearest surface, arms crossing loosely over her chest as she watched aurora with a dry, almost weary expression. "you did it again, by the way." her tone carried the smallest trace of disbelief, as if she were pointing out a pattern aurora wasn’t self-aware enough to notice (although she probably was more than aware). "you can’t even get through your own story without taking another swing at me."

       gia shook her head once, slow and resigned. "i mean, i’m literally the one being forced to sit here and listen, and somehow you still manage to get offended by my existence every other sentence." || @ladamedemartel

"Well, it's a story that I've told many times. Adding in a jab or two at you helps keep things from becoming less repetitive for me." Aurora didn't recall making any particularly hurtful jabs, certainly not anything that should have been memorable. Perhaps Gia was simply sensitive. She did not seem it, from the little interaction that they'd had thus far, but perhaps she was more fragile than Aurora estimated.

She forced a smile. "You know, you're not really being forced to listen. You could leave me here to have my run about the place. Or you could fetch Marcel that I no longer have to wait to speak with him." she paused for a moment, looking Gia up and down as she did. "I do dislike being made to wait."

"Still, the fair lady did not rouse from her slumber." Tristan narrated the absence of response. Bestowing a thespian suggestion to his voice. A hand visiting the elderly mane to free her from an eight-legged invader that, he assumed, was not part of her vision. "Oh, Aurora. How boundless would be my grief, how endless my torment, if I saw in your face a conclusion. I do not. All the trappings of a crone could never convince me otherwise. For I know you are not a withering flower, capable of finding her end in looming shadows, but a whole vast garden. Charming and dangerous. Alluring and impossible. From the cruelest drought, you would still revive into bloom with the most beautiful, incandescent life." He leaned down further. Hovering over her collarbone. The first kiss to her neck was given like a gentle, slow caress. The evolving growth, the warm, intense provocations that followed could have easily been accused of constituting cheating. "Won't you let me see the shining emerald gleam of your eyes once more?"

A bit of a speech, hardly a monologue. Certainly not enough to convince her to stop her pretenses. That said, she appreciated the way that he delicately removed the spider from her hair before it could crawl over her face. Tristan could hardly allow such an incursion. He hardly would have allowed a spider to dance across the lips that he had long ago claimed as his.

A kiss, however, was another matter. It was hard to contain a reaction as he found her collarbone and started to reclaim the territory that had been consumed by cobwebs. Still, Aurora tried to keep her eyes closed, even as she shifted, if only slightly to offer more of her neck to Tristan. Whether he chose to continue to kiss it or if he would feed from her she left to his choice; he was the only one that she allowed such a privilege. And, perhaps, she adjusted her position, ever so slightly to be more comfortable as she received his attentions.
