Mockingjay Part 2 Discussion

yasminpewsey: I really enjoyed the movie! Finnick’s little moments throughout were precious, and I absolutely loved the way he took care of Peeta. I’m definitely pleased that his death got a lot of attention. I cried a lot throughout the movie and all my friends laughed at me. :,(((
anon 1: I agree the wedding along with the first act of the movie felt rushed. I still would have preferred for Part 1 to have ended after Katniss gets shot in District 2. That way there would have been more breathing room at the beginning of Part 2 and definitely more time for the wedding.
anon 2: Finnick’s death was brutal and I ugly sobbed through the entire thing and maybe concerned some of the other theater-goers. LIke I said, I think it got the attention it deserved, but the trade-off was that you had to see/hear him suffering at the end, which was hard for me to watch. It was by far the hardest part of the movie for me.
Overall, I was really satisfied with Mockingjay Part 2. Of course, I wish there had been more of both Finnick and Annie, but I guess that’s what fanfiction is for. :))
