What’s the status on volume 2? And how are you doing?

Heya bats! We’re doing well all around, I think. Mostly we’re just trying to get through this finale alive! The last couple of weeks in Destiel-land feels like it’s been simultaneously two years and two days.  On the book side of things our printer did approve our order and is back to full volume. We have some adjustments to make to the print files before getting the final proof so we’re hoping this latest round of closures in some states doesn’t end up further affecting our order. We’re just trying to get that in as quick as possible to head off any more delays with this second (third?) wave.

Just a little note from Mod Crypto:

The mod sit-down got sorta pushed to the side. My dad passed right after the last update and I haven't had the emotional bandwidth to work on anything aside from the bare minimum (and hardly even that) of my real life commitments.

I just wanted to let y'all know I didn't forget you. The staff sit-down will still happen, we have ideas to get stuff moving again, and we'll have a good update for you soon. I just need a little bit of time to get my feet back underneath me.

Hey everyone!

Things have been pretty much on hold the past couple months here at Profound headquarters due to covid and all the changes it has brought with it. The mod team is still adapting to the huge changes in our home and work lives, but we're all doing our best to roll with the punches and keep our chins up. We appreciate the kind asks and tweets we've gotten asking how we're doing.

The print shop we are using for the book is still backlogged currently, but it looks like things are starting to move quicker. The merch is mostly good to go with the exception of the pin, but the manufacturer for those is back to full operation so they are well on their way to being ready.

We want to get this volume finished up and out to everyone as soon as possible. The mod team is going to be having an all-staff meeting during this week to see how we can get things moving a bit faster.

We'll have a more detailed update after that and we'll make sure to provide more frequent status updates for y'all.

We really appreciate everyone's patience and continued support.

Not unless you want them to! We won’t reveal who sent the message, but if you’d like to reveal yourself after the Birthday Bash is over you’re welcome to. :)

Hello! Are there any news on the zines yet? 😁 I’m so excited!

Hey! So, we're still hard at work putting the final touches on the layout.

A few members of our staff had some personal/day job stuff come up so we're still finalizing the proof draft. It will be ready for contributor review very soon and then we will order the hard proof for final approval and then from there it's clear sailing until it's in your hands!

Most of the merch is finalized and either in the mail to us or will soon be. The pins have been a bit of a headache, but are going to be so so worth it. We've had to go back and forth with our manufacturer quite a bit. They're wonderful to work with and are really going out of their way to make sure the pin is exactly how we want it. Unfortunately they're now on vacation for the new year, but the timeline is still looking good for them to arrive before the zine is completely ready to ship.

Will we get to see any merch previews for volume 2?

Yep! I ran into some major stuff in my personal life that put a delay on getting the previews up, but they'll be up on the 12th along with an update on the pre-order period.

Can I ask, what's the difference between the Basic Bundle and the Book Bundle for vol 2? They're the same price in the store, but there are no details on them yet...?

There are details on what is in each bundle on the listings. You just need to scroll down to the product description. :) 

And then the deluxe bundle includes all of the stuff from both of these plus a few additional items such as deluxe prints, a sticker sheet, and an enamel pin.
