Who the fuck thinks math is fun
Hi I'm an idiot. I keep hearing new identities and being lost when I thought I got em all. Can you give some resources to definitions? Pls let me know when replied or I may miss it love love ノンタンー☆( /ω ⁄ ⁄ ⁄ )❜ ⁈‼… K∆
There are so many different identities that it’s super difficult to keep up on them all. I’ll be working on a masterpost soon for gender and sexuality labels, that is if you folks think that’s a good idea?

My mom said she doesn't like terms like nonbinary because labels put people into boxes and it really hurt me. Labels can be bad, but they can also be great. Plus, nonbinary is like the alternative for people who don't fit into girl or boy boxes. But now I'm worried if I come out as nonbinary or whatever term I decide, she won't support me because of this.
I’m sorry about that, anon! Maybe before you come out to her, you could explain more about non-binary identities and how their existence is really important to lots of people who don’t fit in the “typical” boxes. Maybe if she understood better that it’s not just conforming to a box, she would agree with the fact that some identities are super important to people!

hey! So I've been wondering if there's any good label for something like a completely separate gender? Although I do use he/him pronouns (considering different ones! like, space-based), I feel like I'm more masc/fem/enby as feelings and not as fluid/flux/etc genders on their own (like how a girl can feel masculine, and etc). It doesn't feel null or genderless at all.. but I welcome all suggestions!
You’d probably fit better with a more alternative gender label (generally less known or talked about) than the usual ones! If you don’t identify with masc/femme/enby, you could try things like aporagender or maverique, which seem to describe what you’re expressing. I’d recommend just searching those online and reading about them to see if they fit your identity. If you need any more help, please feel free to come back and ask again!

I'm forced to go to prom this year and it's my high school junior year. I don't want to wear a dress due to dysphoria but my parents are making me wear a dress. Im ftm transgender but nobody else other than a few friends knows. Any ideas to make me feel more comfortable in public while wearing a dress since I'm forced to?
I’m sorry about that, that’s a really uncomfortable situation! But I have a few suggestions. First, if you can pick out the dress yourself, you could try to choose one that’s as least feminine or revealing as possible (I’m assuming you don’t want something really short with lots of bows on it) so that it doesn’t seem as bad. Next, other clothes you wear with it can help - if you have a binder or guys’ underwear, you can wear those underneath. Shoes can help as well, if you have sneakers or something that can pass as appropriate enough for prom. If it’s cold, that just gives you a better excuse to cover up and wear a jacket, or something that hides the dress similarly.
I hope you have a good time, and remember that wearing a dress makes you no less of a guy than anyone else!
