can I request Akashi Seijuurou for the prompt “What’ll happen when I wake up, and you’re not there?” please and thank you :3
Akashi woke up at around seven thirty. Not to his usual alarm, since his phone was off, and not to his significant other giving him a gentle kiss on the forehead. Alarmed, he turns to his left side, prepared to see you lying, intoxicated in dreams. However, to his surprise, there was nothing that proved you slept there that night. Your pillow was neatly straightened out, as well as the duvet on your side, whereas Akashi, who was still sprawled across the right side of the bed, sported a wrinkled, tangled duvet with a pillow that was half hanging off of the bed. It took a few moments for Akashi to process what was happening, and as soon as he registered what was going on, he flips the sheets over, darting out of bed and tumbling down the staircase.
“Y/N?” He calls, rushing down to living room, “Y/N?”
There’s no sign of you there, so he rushes to the kitchen, praying to see you making yourself some breakfast. But unfortunately, there’s no sign of you there either. He sighs, shaking the intrusive thoughts from his mind. He decides that you probably went to the local corner shop to grap some milk, or eggs maybe? Something to make a nice breakfast. He hopes so, anyway. He opens the fridge, not expecting to see much there. Instead, he’s greeted with the usual full bottles of milk, boxes of eggs, packets of ham, cheese and other sandwich fillings. Oh no.
Akashi slams the door shut, storming back upstairs. He whips out some colthes from his wardrobe, pulling them on with an attitude. He yanks on his shoes, grabbing his phone and launches himself down the stairs. Zipping up his jacket, and picks up the keys from the kitchen counter, burying them into his pocket with brutal force. Tears begin to wel up in his eyes at the thought of losing you, but he angrily shakes them off, marching into his car.
He takes a strong, deep breath, running his fingers through his magenta hair as soon as he sits himself down, inside of the car. His pale fingers slide up and down his face and rub at his eyes.
“Think logically,” he tells himself, “Think. Logically.”
Where would you be? Where would you have gone this early in the morning. Almost instantly, the thought jumps into his brain. Of course, of course!
After jetting off in a frenzy, he arrives at a familiar street, slowly rolling his car towards a familiar house. It was a small bungalow that was surrounded by ivy and roses. Getting out of the car, locking it and brushing himself down, he opens the old, creaking gate and walks through the courtyard. With fingers covered in the peelings of the paint from the gate, he rings the doorbell patiently.
An elderly and frail lady opens the door. She must be about eighty now. Her cheeks were rosy with cheap pink blusher. Her skin was thin, wrinkled and tight that had come to a plastic-y tanned colour because of her powder. She smiles at him, her pink crusty lips rounding.
“Ah, Seijuurou! I thought you might’ve popped in. Come right in! Y/N is in the kitchen making breakfast.” she cheers as Akashi plants a light, respectful kiss on her cheek, proceeding to enter the room. He slides of his black loafers and walks past the kitchen. He makes eye contact with you, and he sends you a gritty smile. Confused, you turn away and continue making tea. Akashi sits himself down in the living room and folds his arms, his ifngers intertwining with his jacket.
“How long has Y/N been here for?” He asks nervously, taking shakey breaths.
“Since five o’clock, dear. My fault, had a bit of a scare with my lungs.” She coughs awkwardly, waiting for you to enter.
“Oh, are you alright? I can send a doctor, or carer, here if you need,” Akashi offers with a small smile.
“It’s quite alright, but thank you very much!”
“Mother, your tea,” You set down a tray with two cups of tea, “Sorry, Sei, I wasn’t aware that you’d be here.”
Akashi sends you a grateful smile anyway, and you go to sit with him.
“How are you feeling, mom?” You ask nervously, sinking into the soft, rose embroidered couch.
“I’m fine, dear! You can go off home now.” She picks up the tea with her shaky hands.
“No, I can’t leave you alone, mom.” You protest.
Akashi sits up, “Like I offered, we can get a carer over here, even just for a day or two to make sure she’s doing okay.”
You ignore him and wait for your mom to speak up.
The elder sighs, “If it makes you feel better, and it isn’t any hassle, then you can. But please, be on your way.”
You roll your eyes, standing up and taking a step towards your mom, “Okay, fine.” You kiss her on the cheek, “Sei and I will be on our way then. Call me if you need anything.”
“I will, love,” she smiles sweetly.
You and Akashi leave the house in silence, approaching the black car that sat, absorbing the heat.
“Why are you here, Sei?”
“You left without a not, Y/N”
“And?”
“You didn’t tell me.”
“I don’t need to tell you where I am at all times, Seijuurou!”
“Well if it’s seven am and there is no Y/N laying next to me, I expect some kind of explanation!”
“My mom was afraid that she was about to die, do you think I have the time to leave you a note or give you a call?”
“…No…”
“Did you try to contact me?”
“…No…”
“So…?”
“Right… I’m sorry, Y/N, it’s just…”
“What?”
“What’ll happen when I wake up… and you’re not there?”
“Oh, Sei. You know I have no reason to leave you like that.”
“But…”
“No buts, c’mon Sei. I’m here now, and I can guarantee that I’m not going to be leaving.”
So that’s it!! I hope you like it, it took a super long time!
