Hey!! Of course, I’m so sorry for the wait ><

Oikawa can hear you scrambling around in your room in frustration from downstairs.“Is everything okay, Y/n?” He calls up to you sounding concerned, but a little annoyed.“No!” You wail, throwing your pen down on to your desk impatiently.Oikawa sighs, turning off the television and walking upstairs to find you slumped against your desk, your hair a disheveled mess. He crouches down to your height and lays a hand on your shoulder.“Having trouble writing again?”You nod your head.He pulls up another chair next to you and pulls the paper from under your head.“I have the soundtrack, and I know what I want the song to be about but I just can’t,” You sniffle slowly rasing your head to look at your boyfriend.“Ah~ This looks really messy, Y/N-chan, how can you work in such a state?” He shakes his head at the clutter in front of him, “What do you want this song to represent?”“I want it to be about opening up to the world, you know? Showing your true feelings, not being afraid to be yourself.”“Alright! So, what places to you associate this feeling with?” Oikawa encourages you, eyes widening.You look away in thought, scratching your neck, “Hmm, I’m not sure. Maybe a park, or a forest? Somewhere where you feel at peace.”Oikawa grins, “Perfect~! Let’s go then. Come on, get yourself dressed, I’ll be waiting outside.”

He grabs your hand and holds it tightly, pulling you to the dog park nearby, “Come on, Y/n, this’ll be fun!”You don’t look amused, “Tooru, we don’t even have a dog, I-”“Shh! Don’t spoil it, come on now!” He opens the gate, letting you pass through first. The sky is rather grey and the sight isn’t exactly pretty, but as the chills of the icy wind run through your body, you start to feel the tension fade away. Oikawa pulls you to a park bench under a small tree. It’s leaves are barely hanging on, all dry, brown and wrinkled. But there’s one leaf that is glistening from the little sunlight shining upon it. It is a vibrant shade of green and attracts your eyes immediately. A small raindrop falls off of the perfectly pointed tip of the leaf and on to your notebook.“It’s cute, right? How the leaf is alone and shining for itself when the others are so… dead.” Oikawa cracks up, laying an arm on the back of the park bench, “Kind of like what you want to write about, no? I mean, it’s not afraid to be itself…”“It’s a leaf?” You laugh, raising your eyebrows in confusion.Your boyfriend rolls his eyes, “You won’t get anywhere if you think like that!”He’s right.

The next morning…

“Y/n, you’re still awake? Didn’t you sleep?” Oikawa is aware that when he went to sleep, you were still working on this song, but now he had woken up at six in the morning for volleyball practice, and you’re still there, in the flow of the song.“I’m almost finished, I’ll sleep soon!” You tell him, not taking your eyes off of the computer screen, “I’m going to record now, would you mind being quiet for a moment?”“Ah~ You go ahead, my love,” Oikawa grins, sitting up on his bed.You recite the song you had been working on all night into the microphone standing next to your desk along with the soundtrack you’re so proud of. At the end, Oikawa stares at you in awe.“I guess the trip to the dog park was worth it, then?” He giggles, walking towards you and stamping a kiss on your forehead,You nod, a small smile on your head, “You like it?”“Of course!”
