AVPD culture is trying so hard to keep up friendships, but never knowing how to keep conversations because what if i say the wrong thing and they start to hate me?

... and then you end up disappearing for hours, then a day, and suddenly you're not sure if they are upset with you for disappearing or not, but the fear of talking to them outweighs everything else.

avpd culture is feeling like a nuisance for feeling like a nuisance

avpd culture is really really really wanting close friends but being unable to make them or know how to be a good friend

avpd culture is making a mistake towards your friend, and them kindly letting you know, and then apologizing to them and them saying it was all good and then going “no surely i’m the most awful person ever and i should stop talking to anyone ever” and feeling even WORSE for feeling bad about it because now you’re making it about yourself and then overthinking the entire interaction and-

avpd culture is being ashamed of your interests for absolutely no reason, especially when there’s literally nothing wrong with them, so you just lie about liking the same things the person ur talking too does
