You opened your eyes gently, it was the morning after the ball. You stretched and purred happily. What a night!~ You started to laugh with pure joy written all over your face. You remembered every second of it, last night was the best! You got up and started getting ready for the day. Reminiscing about the week before.
Being a noble means that you’ve been to plenty of balls and parties. Especially because your parents forced you to. They were never very fun, just dancing and talking about politics. Plus you always had to wear uncomfortable outfits that made you look like Ferdinand. The last thing you wanted was to be stuck in a stuffy outfit. When you heard about the monastery ball that was happening in a week, you cringed a little bit. Social interaction and uncomfortable clothes? No thank you- “Y/N! You hear about the party?” said a casual, slightly silky voice. It was Claude~ Claude von Regan~ The most handsome man in the academy. There were other guys who came close like Sylvain or Felix, but Claude had a certain charm~ Claude didn’t want to be a lord, he acted far from it. He plays pranks and jokes around! It was everything that you wanted to be! To be away from the tight grip of your parents hand and to be able to live life how you wanted. It just sounded too good to be true. “C-Claude! Yes! I-I’m kinda excited…” you lied slightly. You didn’t want to bring his excitement down and if he was there, maybe you could just stare at him for the whole night. Claude smirked with his bright smile, you swear that it could melt anyone’s heart, “Yeah! All our friends, dancing around and enjoying the night. I hope you save me a dance~” Claude stared into your eyes as you blushed heavily then he chuckled a little, “Just pulling your chain! See ya in class.” He waved casually and walked away. He always does that, says something romantic then takes it back like a joke. It was annoying, but it was also what you always wanted him to say. If only he was serious…
Days pass as the ball gets closer and closer. You doodled Claude in fancy outfit then you decided that he probably wouldn’t wear a suit ever. You stared at him in class as you daydreamed the two of you dancing the night away. You had your girl Hilda telling you the gossip. Apparently Ingrid relented and agreed to dance with Sylvain! Lorenz has asked out every girl in the Golden Deer house (and even in the two other houses) and has been turned down every time. Hilda even said that she asked Claude to dance, which made you nervous, but he had turned her down. You were getting your outfit ready in the evenings with Hilda. She sewed the best clothes and she insisted on making something for you! “You can’t go to the dance in your school uniform! Where’s the fun in that!” Hilda said as she dragged you to her room every evening. She made you a beautiful golden dress/suit that shone in the light. It fit you perfectly and didn’t feel too tight or uncomfortable.
It was finally the night. Everyone was in a hurry to get classes done in the morning so that they could use the rest of the day getting ready. You couldn’t even approach Claude, you were SO nervous! What if you stuttered and slipped up your words up while asking him to dance? What if you stepped on his foot while waltzing? What if he only dances with you because he pities you? All these thoughts were becoming really disheartening. You did your best to avoid Claude, the butterflies in your stomach preventing any kind of banter that you would usually do with Claude. As soon as the sun went down, it was time. The lanterns were lit and the ball was packed with every student and teacher. You saw Edelgard and Dimitri dancing like real proper nobles. Ferdinand was also dancing with Dorothea, trying to one up Edelgard no doubt. Caspar and Linhardt were off in a corner, Caspar doing most of the talking. Mercedes was trying to get Annette to dance with her, they were so cute together. Felix was being a loner next to Dedue, who made pleasant conversation. While Sylvain was flirting wildly with Ingrid. Finally your house, Golden Deer, Hild ended up dragging Lorenz to the dance floor afterall. Lysithea was having a nice conversation with Rapheal and Ignatz. Marianne and Bernadetta hadn’t come sadly, those two girls would’ve looked beautiful in dresses.
You stood nervously off on your own, looking around for Claude. You hadn’t seen him yet, maybe he didn’t come after all. As you began to give up hope, your eyes were covered from behind. “Hey, you’ve been avoiding me all day~ Why is that?” His voice. His sweet voice that reminded you or smooth caramel. You stuttered slightly, blushing, “I-I’m s-sorry I-I was just so nervous-” Claude chuckled in his casual way, but didn’t let go, “Let’s go somewhere to be alone…” Claude led you outside, it was a warm, comfortable evening. Your face felt hot, mostly because you were so close to Claude. Claude moves his hands from his eyes and looked you up and down, “Your outfit is quite stunning!” You turned to him, “Th-Thank you, Hilda made it for me. What are we doing out here?” Claude smiled and took your hands, “I asked for a dance a week ago, let's do it. Right now. Out here.” Before you could answer, Claude put his left hand on your waist, leading your hand to his shoulder. The two of you began to sway under the stars, you looked into Claude’s glimmering eyes shyly. You two could barely hear the music from the hall, but it was still enough for the two of you to dance romantically to. As the song softly ended, Claude gently dipped you and kissed you gently. “I love you, you never have to be nervous around me~” You smiled back at him, “My family would never approve…” Claude frowned a bit, but you continued, “But I want you~” You kissed him again.
You sighed, remembering his soft lips as you left your dorm room. You ran into someone’s arms who held you close, “How’s it going, babe!” It was Claude, YOUR Claude! “Claude leaned in as if he was going to kiss you then whispered seductively, “Just because we are together doesn’t mean I won’t still tease you!” Claude chuckled as he started walking away, leaving you a blushing mess.

These two girls are the closest of friends. Every since they met at the magic academy, they’ve never really been apart. Everyone didn’t really think anything except “Oh what nice friends.”
Annette thought about Mercedes a lot though. Whenever she’d start straying from her work, Mercedes was the one on her mind. Annette realized her feelings quite quickly, but she could NEVER confess.
Mercedes was so popular with all the guys, they would come up with flowers and ask her on a date, but she would never say yes. Annette thought that should wouldn’t stand a chance...
During chores one day, Annette began to sing one of her impromptu songs. “Washing and drying so the dishes may get done~ Having loads of fun~” Mercedes giggled and said, “You are so cute when you sing.” Annette blushed so red that she looked like a tomato.
Finally, during spring time when the flowers started to grow, Annette got up the courage to bring a small bouquet, that she picked herself, up to Mercedes. “M-Mercedes, I-I l-love-“ Annette began to say, but was interrupted when Mercedes gave her a kiss. Mercedes was just waiting for her all along.
From then on the two were even closer, Annette baked only for Mercedes! Lots of treats and goodies, lots of people were a little jealous. Mercedes always stayed by Annette through battle and healed her if she got hurt right away!
