I can assure you that most aren't. Don't stereotype an entire fandom simply because of the actions of a few of them.

Look at any fandom that has both adults and minors in it. You will find adults sexually harassing minors. It's everywhere. And no fandom embraces that, they try to keep the younger members of the fandom away from those people, and do their best to make everyone aware of what's going on.

However, when they start going on about "specism", "carnists" and trying to make their dog vegan without close veterinary supervision, I loose all respect. We have come up with tests that can measure the intelligence of animals reliably (it involves recognizing their reflection and mathematics) and I regret to say that many vegans and vegetarians overestimate the cognitive ability of animals.
