What's the difference between a kinshift and headmates switching?

Well for me at least, each alter has it's own entire identity separate from the host. Different name, pronouns, fashion style, etc. Not to mention there are sometimes things like Memory Barriers, Dysphoria and Dysmorphia, and Accent Changes that just don't come with kinshifts. While I use a singular identity on this blog for cohesion's sake (despite being a system of almost 100, we will all go by Mod Cosmos and use kinshift icons that apply to the host, Logan) my kinshifts are totally different from my alters switching in for me!
