Mystery Concept: The Man who Cried Cat
Concept: a couple of bodies are found within their respective homes, faces clawed off and gashes along their chests and arms. Only one person was found barely alive, however their mind seems snapped as they rant and rave about a killer cat monstrosity. The cause? A cat had escaped a science facility where it was experimented on where, at random times at night, would transform into a horrific humanoid creature and set on killing the first thing it sees.

Description: normally it looks like a small housecat that is super loving and affectionate. However, once a day at a random interval (usually at night) or when under a lot of stress, the cat lets out a horrific yowl as its body cracks and contorts into a large, hulking humanoid cat creature with veiny flesh and patches of fur. After its rampage, it will revert back to its normal form and run away.
Keen Smell and sight (the hulking cat has a heightened sense of smell and sight and will search things out that way.
Pounce (it can leap up to 20ft into the air and land on the ground without issue)
Claws (2 harm hand ignore armor Poison)
Bite (2 harm intimate ignore armor Poison)
Poisonous Bite and Claws- if a hunter is hit with it, they must mark themselves as unstable until they are cured. Every other round they take 1 harm.
Nine Lives- when the Hulking Cat is killed not with its weakness, it will come back with renewed vigor and rage. Its harm output is increased by 1 (excluding poison damage).
Pounce- if a hunter is landed on after the Hulking Cat pounces, they must roll +Cool to break free. On a 10+ they get out of it without taking harm. On a mix, the keeper gets to choose: they can either stay grappled but not take any harm, or get out and take 1 harm. On a miss, they are grappled/captured by the monster and take 1 harm.
- to kill it, you must force it to eat a rat or mouse recently poisoned. In its normal cat form it will shy away from it but in its hulking form it will increase its rage at the scent of it.
- the players can calm it instead by finding a wayward scientist who was out searching for it. He has an experimental pill that can possibly cure the Hulking Cat's rage and can stop the transformation. HOWEVER, once it is given, the cat will lose its other form (example: if the pill is given when its hulking, it will remain hulking and can never revert to its normal cat form and vice-versa)
