We’re back to needing a modified checksum file. You now need a blank checksum or else any modified files will cause a crash.

You can find a blank checksum file here. Put it in your game’s win32 folder.

If you’re using the vanilla JP launcher, you’ll need to replace this file every time you boot the game, as it checks for it and automatically redownloads it. So open the launcher, replace the checksum, then boot the game up.

As far as I know, every other way of launching the game doesn’t have a problem like this.

【Endemic Life Removal】

Removes sp●ders, gr●ssh●ppers, drag●nflies, sc●rpions, w●rms, sc●rabs, and sh●rks.

No picture since that would fly in the face of the purpose of this mod. Some people don’t like to see these kinds of things and that’s fine.

Be aware of when this file is updated. I don't know what happens when this file is outdated, but they do update it.

Should be compatible with both JP and NA.

I didn’t like them. Also removes the weird fabric-like pinching.

【Distinct Map Icons】

Player icons are more vibrant, standard enemy icons are now orange, tames are now purple, and mining rig hazards are now neon pink. Compatible with both JP and NA.

Won’t be recoloring the orange mining rig icon due to a lack of available colors. Icons exist in each color I could have changed it to, so it’d be best to just leave it alone instead of potentially making things more confusing later. This is also why I recolored the hazards; their red was the same shade as the (presently) unused red rig icon.

Please be aware of when Sega updates this file. It will see many updates throughout the game if PSO2 was any indicator. If you use an outdated version of this file, your UI may not display properly.

【N-Chic Jaeger to Chroto (w low to high swap)】

Sega made a really lazy attempt at matching the colors of certain iterations of these updated re-releases to their old counterparts. It would have been easy to actually do it right.

Due to the way colors are applied to NGS outfits (for now?), it’s also literally impossible to match some of the larger colors to their old counterparts via in-game means. For example, the dark red that this coat is supposed to be. So this mod also went ahead and manually recolored it. So every iteration of the “N-シークイェーガー/B[Se]” (N-Chic Jaeger/B [Se]) outfit will also be this shade of red. The pink can change, though. This will not affect the other variant without the “/B” in the name. Yet it was still impossible to match the hat.

NGS outfits also come with a high and low res version. This mod will replace the low res version with the high res version. See the included text file for which is which, just in case you don’t want to replace the low res version.

...It’s an NGS outfit, so of course it’s compatible with the current JP client and will be compatible with the NA client once it receives the graphics update. Should also be compatible with NGS clients, but obviously we can’t test that yet.

I should have tried this a long time ago.

This version of this mod supports both JP and NA clients! Mind the included note.

Please consider ceasing use of this mod when it becomes outdated.

It’s difficult to tell the difference between Mother’s hands since they’re all very big and blue in a field of more blue, and you are very small and maybe also blue. Defeating them in a certain order can improve your time, so this might make it easier for you to meet the new requirements for Expert matching.
