I think one of my favourite parts about tertiary attraction (and really just queer labels in general) is that there's so many options and your allowed to pick and choose what ones you use to describe yourself.

Like two people could have very similar experiences, at least from an outside perspective, but they might both use different sets of labels for it based off any number of reasons (like different internal views of their attractions or just simply preferring one term over another for reasons like aesthetics/vibes) That for one person a type of tertiary attraction could be a subset of something else, but for another it's own whole thing that they like to have a label for.

I just think it's really cool how we can and do use language in such a diverse and personal way. How just because you experience smth doesn't mean you have to label it or even use one label that others do if you prefer something different.

Hey as a heads up I'm getting kinda board/upset with how inactive the blog is due to lack of things to post/reblog (and lack of ideas of og posts); So I'm probably going to start going "off-topic" and also use this sideblog to ramble about my own experiences w/ tertiary attraction (under #mod eventide rambles) and if I gain the courage reblog general stuff about less "well known" tertiary attraction / tertiary attraction in general that i want to boost (under #rainbow of attractions)

Q2, if you haven't answered already.

How would you describe your identity?

It gets a bit foggy for me since I view the labels more as "what i would do with someone" since I am omniaspec and mostly on the far "no attraction" for most(i think). I would say I am sort of gray aesthetic and maybe some form of emotional unspecified feelings but that are VERY specififc and yet to be named. Just curious what's your experience is like with your identity.

My first thought was to compare it to nebulæ, a spark of colour in the otherwise grey (an-attractional) world of space (tho space is from from pure black irl, but for the purposes of the metaphor).

It does to some degree depend on the type of attraction; Aesthetic feels not much more different then seeing a particulalry attractive painting to us or even the expirance of gender envy but without the desire to model an aspect of the person, vs platonic and... whatever attraction my headmates feel that sits inbetween romo & non-rose, is very... again it's a nebula. It almost feels like when you are particulaly hyperfocused or intrested in a topic but without the je ne sais quoi for lack of a better term that those have, instead it's almost like a slight pull towards the person a desire to have them in your life but without the thoughts completly consuming you, just perhaps leaving them a bit more of a frequent visitor to your thoughtspace then they might've been otherwise.

...idk if any of that makes sense lol, but yea to us it's a very specific but also extremely abstract feeling, similar to but still different to how we feel about our best friends or those we get gender envy from.

5: Do you like to label your tertiary attraction?

We do not currently label any of our tertiary attractions as far as I know, but I don't think we would mind doing so either. Some of us really like labels or otherwise fitting infomantion about ourself together so I could see us going back to using them in the future in any case.

Though personally I, as an individual alter, am a big fan of using labels when I need to communicate an idea but not "identifing" with them 24/7 like people tend to assume most Queer folk do. So when introducing myself, even in queer spaces, I won't say i'm Bi-Aesthetic but if the conversation leads to it being relevent then I have no issues using the label either (they are fun ngl).

Hmm... that's a bit difficult because they're all pretty close for me but i have to say the platonic attraction lol. i get very socially anxious which just increases a lot w/ squishs, and being Hetroplatonic makes me way too aware/scared people will misinterpret my feelings because whoo heteronormativity /sarcasm
