Progetto lucente/fiaccola, already signed as culture consultant
If I signed up for the story mod role, what would be my tasks, and expectations, in as much detail as possible.
Is the role solo, council-style with full consensus (if everyone agrees, it can proceed, otherwise back to discussion), council style with majority consensus (voting), representative, or what else?
The information in the mod application is too vague and makes it daunting to apply
Thank you for the ask, I'll attempt to clarify a little more on the Story Director Role. This project is very experimental so the roles are vaguer than usual so bare with me (´-ω-`)
During pre-production the story director will be in charge of tying together all the ideas and concepts brainstormed by the mods into one coherent story outline.
For example they will have to make choices about what interpretations of the characters will be used, what plotbeats will occur and how much focus they will have, and character motivations and backstories.
The project is expected to be run similar to a roundtable between mods, but with the story director having “final say” in what ideas work for the story, and will be the “tie breaker” in situations where there is disagreement between mods in where to go with the story.
While we expect all the mods to work together to flesh out the world and project outline, story directors are not expected to work alone or take on all writing tasks.
The story director is needed to make sure the project has a consistent voice and message, and to “direct” mods and contribs on the story.
I hope that clears a few things up!
