So, I might edit this after the election results are finalized, but if anyone is dealing with anxiety and/or panic right now because of the election, and if you need someone to talk to, please just send us an ask. I’ll be here for you.

Have a safe National Coming Out Day
I know it’s a little late in the day, but I wanted to wish you all a happy National Coming Out Day.
To anyone who came out today, I’m so proud of you, and I hope things went well. Stay safe friends.
To anyone who is planning to come out later tonight, I wish you good luck. Please stay safe friends.
To any closeted folks who don’t feel safe coming out right now, that’s perfectly fine, you’re amazing no matter what, and I’m happy that you’re keeping yourselves safe. Please continue to stay safe.
Coming out is not a necessity, and honestly, it’s usually terrifying. Both times that I’ve come out to my parents (for orientation and for gender) I ended up almost having a panic attack. And while yes, coming out can be extremely beneficial for your mental health, it’s also incredibly risky, as coming out to the wrong people can put you at risk of physical and/or emotional harm.
If you’re unable to come out today, please know that you’re awesome, and that I love you. I hope that you’re all as safe as you can be, and remember, if you need someone to talk to, myself and mod Rissa are here for you, just send us an ask (if you want to message one of us, send us an ask, and one or both of us can possibly message you via our main blogs).

Hey there lovelies
This is mod Fitzy, and I’m going to be at the Topeka Pride Parade/Festival (in Topeka, KS) this coming Saturday. So,if anyone is planning on going, I’ll be there in case anyone wants to meet me and/or say hello.
I will be wearing a black and white (floral?) patterned sun-dress, and I will be in my wheelchair. Also, I will have a “My name is ___ and my pronouns are ___” name-tag/sticker on. I will probably be accompanied by my mother, who will be helping me push my wheelchair along the parade route.
For any of my fellow trans folks in Kansas/Missouri (or the surrounding states)
The Planned Parenthood in northern Kansas City has recently become an “Informed Consent Clinic” for trans people, and now provides HRT and other health services for trans folk. (source)
They are also specifically training their staff to be conscious of how they interact with their trans patients, stressing that our gender can also strongly affect our mental health.
This has me excited for a number of reasons:
My recently obtained letter of approval is no longer necessary for myself and others in the area (and I don’t have to worry about other therapists saying otherwise)
HRT and other stuff will likely be cheaper at Planned Parenthood than it would have been at the KU Women’s Health Center, which was, until recently, the best option available, and they required a letter of approval (The only reasons I didn’t keep that appointment is because my insurance wouldn’t touch it)
The staff at Planned Parenthood will likely be better trained in trans-related issues than anywhere else in the area that isn’t specifically created for trans people (none of which can provide physical health services (although, I absolutely recommend the Transgender Institute for gender therapy and/or if you want/need a letter for any reason).
Tip for fellow Trans Women
So I just did something yesterday that I think is already helping me with both dysphoria, and with trying to pass (which sucks that we need to do, but it can help). There’s lots of talk on the trans side of tumblr about how Target is a great ally for us, and they are, both in their policies and in some of their products.
Some Targets happen to stock “breast forms” for women who’ve had a mastectomy, or for trans women, to put into their bras in order to make it seem like they have breasts where there might not be any. However, not all Targets have these in stock.
Last night, I went to the Target in my town in an attempt to find some “breast forms” to use (as I am a trans woman, and my dysphoria, particularly regarding my chest, has been getting worse lately). I was disappointed to learn that this Target did not stock them. However, they did have something else in stock that would effectively do the same thing.
Push-Up Inserts for bras.
I purchased two pairs, and using them together, placed inside my sports bra, it actually looks as if I have a decent (and passable) pair of breasts. This has already been helping me quite a bit with the dysphoria I have regarding my chest, and I think these could be a reasonable (and fairly cheap, at $5.99 a pair) alternative to trying to find “breast forms” that are specifically made for trans women or women who’ve had mastectomies, as those are usually much more expensive.
Just thought I might share this for any of our trans followers who feel dysphoric about not having breasts (or having breasts smaller than you’d like).

Hey lovelies. In light of the events of last night, I want to remind everyone that Rissa and I are here for you, and so are others. You can send us an ask if you really want to talk. I for sure am available today and will be able to talk if anyone needs me.
Also, we do have the skype group chat if anyone thinks that might help them. We’re friendly and would love to help if you need to talk. Just let me know (send us your skype info if you want to be added, I will not share it).
In light of this horrific hate-crime, we need to be here for each other even more, and I will gladly help in any way that I can, so please, let us know if you need to talk.

Recent activity levels
Hey lovelies. Sorry I haven't posted much the last week or two, and that that might continue for a few more days. My main blog has been hit repeatedly by a bunch of acephobic gatekeepers recently, the most recent being this afternoon. I'll be back to regular activity as soon as possible...I maybe just need to avoid tumblr for a few days, if possible. -Fitzy
As a wonder:
Why do so many gay men feel the need to rearrange the commonly accepted “LGBT+” to “GLBT+”?
