Look how much money the Right is putting into stopping the amendment that's currently on the ballot in Virginia. They allowed this. They started with the Gerrymandering. They started manipulating the congressional maps to get more seats and cause the current cluster fuck, and when the left went to go fight it in court, they kept kicking it up the judicial ladder. So, when they finally got what they wanted, which was the Supreme Court saying their maps were valid and that they could be used, every thing was gravy.
But now it's not now that the shoe is on the other foot.
Look, i don't care where you land in the political spectrum, but any idiot can see the hypocrisy here like it's loud and proud. However, unlike the the right, who greased palms and did what they had to do in order to get the majority they currently have, the Virginia democrats said, let's let the people decide. Which is admirable and purely democratic. You have to love that.

The North Carolina Briefer - Senate Edition
North Carolina doesn’t have statewide office elections this cycle, so this list will only index for federal elections in the state.
The voter registration deadline is February 6, 2026, but you can still register in-person until February 28. The mail-in ballot deadline is February 17, 2026. Early voting starts February 12, 2026. Election day is March 3rd, 2026. Partisan primaries are open to members of the party and unaffiliated voters. Voter ID is not mandatory in North Carolina,, but not having one will require filling out a separate exception form at the polling place. Senator Thom Thillis, who has been in office since 2015, is not seeking a third term. He is generally seen as moderate for a Republican, but the main evidence for that is his vote for the Respect for Marriage Act, which codified recognition of same-gender marriage in the US. This is in spite of past attempts to quash same-gender marriage in North Carolina. He has started to walk back some of his more extreme statements on other key issues, but not in any too-significant way.
