sometimes i wish that this whole kin thing was a satirical joke that people arent allowed to say the truth about. thinking that youre something nonhuman is either a sign of serious mental illness, or that you just havent grown up from that childhood phase where you watched a lot of fantasy anime and look up to fictional characters wAY too much. especially since a lot of "kinnies" also claim to have various forms of psychosis. why cant you guys wake up?

First, I'd like to thank you for stating that being otherkin is not the same as being trans. I don't have anything against otherkin as long as they're not harming anyone. Do you consider otherkin LGBT community? I personally don't because I have seen otherkin who identify as a different gender or sexuality. Like an angelkin who identifies as a transgender female and a lesbian. I mean no harm with this question I just want a bit more info as the whole otherkin is LGBT bothers me a bit.

Otherkin in itself isn’t LGBT, as being otherkin isn’t a sexual orientation or gender identity. That’s the consensus in most parts of the community, and people claiming being otherkin alone makes you LGBT are either 1) misinformed, 2) trolling, or 3) both.

Though, as you said, otherkin people may be LGBT. I also know of people who experience overlap in gender identity and/or sexuality and otherkin identity, but since I don’t experience it myself I don’t feel like it’s my place to talk about it.

Yes ! I can’t believe they do that, especially since people can’t control their emotional reaction to things ?? I cried when I broke my favorite mug, and nobody would say it’s because I was unhealthily attached to it... And yet when people talk about doing the same for otherkin-related stuff these people swoop in like vultures to mock them.

It’s so gross, you’re right anon and you absolutely 100% should say it !!
