While the potluck is already off to a delicious start, we have run into some unexpected trouble in the kitchen 😅

For those of you writing fics, you may have noticed some weirdness regarding the collection on AO3 (thanks again to @sun-lit-roses​​ for bringing this to our attention!)

When you type in the full name of the collection into the required field, it won’t show up in the suggestions dropdown.

[ID: a form on AO3 with the field “Collection name(s)” in focus. The title “StarTrekPotluck2022″ is typed into the field, but the dropdown bar only reads “(No suggestions found)”. /END ID]

We have contacted AO3 support to find out what might be causing this issue, but in the meantime, here are a couple ways you can still get your fic into the collection:

If you type in the full collection title (”StarTrekPotluck2022″, no spaces) and hit “add”, the fic will be added, even though no suggestions appeared in the dropdown menu. We have tested this, and it worked flawlessly.

However, if you are a little to nervous about typos and accidentally ending up in the wrong collection (I know I would be 😅), just type “StarTrekPotluck20″ into the collection field. The suggestion dropdown will then show last year’s and this year’s collection!

[ID: The same form as a above. The “Collection name(s)” field now reads “StarTrekPotluck20″ with the cursor after the “0″. The dropdown menu suggests both the 2022 and 2021 potluck collections. /END ID]

(This also works when you type in “StarTrekPotluck2″ and -”202″, but not if you just type in “StarTrekPotluck”)

We have no idea why exactly this is happening 😅 If any of you have encountered a similar glitch, maybe you have some wise suggestions.

But in the meantime, this is how you can add your work to the AO3 potluck collection so everyone can find it!

My characters

Alright so as I said earlier, I had the chance to commission two different artists to ask them to draw some of my MCs for my novel that I wrote (and am still writing) for Nano and I want to share them with you!

So here they are :

The one on the right is Felix, my main MC, he has always lived a ordinary (albeit difficult) life until one day he is contacted by an organization called the Ankh who tells him that he is one of the descendants of the heroes chosen by the egyptian gods before they left the world of humans and that he needs to come with them because a danger is menacing the world and without him, there is no hope of winning.

The one on the left is Hiro! He is also one of the descendants of those heroes but has always been working for the Ankh ever since he was a child. He seems to be hiding something and always does everything he can to stay alone.

Felix and Hiro hate each other at first sight but they have no choice but to learn to trust and work with each other as they are sent together on the same dangerous quest. (along with another MC who has to suffer with them and try to not murder them each time they start to fight with each other)

So yeah, you probably don’t care but here are two of my MC ! I want to give a massive shout-out to @mariyand-r​ for their amazing work, seeing those boys for “real” and not only in my head is amazing and they were extremely nice about everything! If you can and want to, please don’t hesitate to commission them too, and go shower them with love for their amazing work!!
