To the anon from last night, while your enthusiasm and positivity is appreciated, please refer to the penultimate rule of this page for an explanation as to why your praise of a particular FC as a particular canon will not be published.

If you would like to resubmit your positivity WITHOUT a superlative (the most, the best, anything that makes one portrayal sound definitively better than another) then the mods would be delighted to publish it!

Hello all, and welcome to the first annual codrppositivity gift exchange! The basis for this is that we all spread a little love this February with gifts for our fellow roleplayers, via a sort of Secret Santa game.

From now until January 20th, COD Cupids can sign up for the event, and on January 21st you will paired up with your ‘Target’ via tumblr IM.

The Lead Up

From then to February 13th, you will message your Target anonymously to get a feel for them, what they might like, and decide what kind of gift you would like to give them. You can even spread a little anonymous love throughout, if you so desire. Then, on Valentines Day, we will all blow our cover and post or submit the gift that we’ve made, revealing ourselves to our Target.

The Gifts

At present, the mods have set up a sign-up sheet on google that allows you to select the kind of gift you are willing to do. Categories included are GIFsets, graphics, fanfiction, and music videos. You are free to stretch these at whim, such as making an icon pack rather than GIFset or some fanart instead of a graphic based on your talents, but please don’t bite off more than you can chew.

If something comes up and you are unable to complete your gift/need to drop out, please message this blog ASAP! There will be no penalty for falling out, but the mods absolutely must know to ensure your Target gets a gift.

Rules

Please keep gifts age-appropriate! The mods are aware of several minors in the fandom, and ask that they be given gifts that are not overly mature. Likewise, if a minor roleplayer is paired with an adult Target, please do not feel like you have to make a more adult gift.

Please keep quality in mind! The mods are sure they speak for everyone when they say many would prefer a thought out gift rather than a quick one. Take your time and do things right

Reach out to your Target! This is as much a gift exchange as it is a holiday about relationships, so take the time to be friendly with others in the fandom and find out more about them!

Alert the mods if you need a Target change! While I had hoped not to touch upon it here, Mod Menendez is aware that some members of the fandom may not be comfortable with others. While this is a page for friendship and positivity, your comfort absolutely comes first. If you feel like you cannot work with your Target, please message us through the askbox.

Be timely! Gifts are expected by February 14th, but the mods also understand real life can get in the way. If you feel like you may run late posting your gift, be it that a file is giving you trouble or you need a little more time to finish things up, please let your Target know you’re a bit behind schedule, and endeavor to post your gift as soon as possible.
