What do you think deity reader’s relationship with Illumina, Darkheart and Icedagger would be?

illumina and reader would have a very strange relationship. it really depends on the kind of attitude reader has. if they're a little more openly mischievous, illumina is excessively paranoid about their intentions. there's no point in playing games with someone you have no idea the capabilities of. if they're a little calmer, illumina is still paranoid but moreso internally. it's a lot of illumina trying to see reader from an unbiased perspective but consistently coming back to that 'i don't understand you' problem. they're both deities, they should get eachother, but it's different when every other deity you know is someone you're related to.
darkheart and reader are much more amicable. i think darkheart would be very curious about another immortal entirely unrelated to their lineage. it opens up so many doors, so many new possibilities! it's all so very interesting- the lack of records, deity's (possible) two faced nature, the limited knowledge of just what they are and can do? it's one big, captivating mystery to darkheart, especially if deity's tightlipped. entirely obsessed.
icedagger and deity are also strange but in a different way. icedagger is also very curious but moreso because they're just someone new and outside of his family. they've got so much of a different perspective on the world while still being an immortal like him- it really makes him wonder just how much the world has changed over time.. he's very curious, moreso about what deity's seen and experienced compared to what they are (though, that's also definitely interesting. it just kind of hurts his head to think about. and also is a little intimidating to think there could be plenty of you out there, hiding somewhere...)
with the recent lore reveal on the sfoth being assholes (i saw this coming yup)
i think they deserve a immortal!reader who has lived as long as they have because we're a opportunist fuck and saw this newly established deities who are pos and thought yeah, i am going to get my life's worth on tricking them and getting something out of it or die trying. They fortunately (or unfortunately) got their life's worth on getting some cool blessings that doubles as curses. I think reader should also be a pos only towards them even if its sometimes unwarranted. We either dont show ourselves when they want or needed us or show ourselves just to kick them more down.
Their personal tormenter/satan, haunting them actively and passively. Let our words echo in their mind as they harm another mortal or reflect on their sins. Even if we are forgotten in history or now more immortalized as a myth in the inpherno for standing up against these tyrants.
we're living our best life meanwhile they can't go a day without remembering us.
grrr grrr ...... i love deity readers so much this is a beautiful idea. reader as some weird ancient deity "offering support to a new deity" out of the kindness of their hearts hmm yes yes i see .... nodding
i like to imagine a lot of them are in weird 'we have/had a deal' kind of relationships with one another. being around forever with nothing but time gives you, well, forever to garner a whole lot of info about just about anything.
windforce wants a floating city? i could point you in the right direction, if you do this that and then some for me. venomshank or firebrand feeling guilty? not like you've got anyone else to tell! not every deity is formed with a couple hundred siblings. i don't know, weird little contracts that build up over a lifetime of thousands of years.
i like to think maybe reader takes on an unspecified form. 4d being? shapeshifter? dunno, but any face that they take always seems to stare at their respective sword the same. just far enough to be out of reach, just close enough to never go unseen. they might not have a lot of history but that's only because only a few managed to catch them throughout the centuries they've been around. can't exactly have any records if people don't ever get to know you exist.
giggling ... also imagining them messing around with valk or banhammer while they're young, if only to give their parents a little heart attack. none of them remember reader very clearly, just some weird other person there besides the swords. (windforce is a little too prideful to admit your part in her life, firebrand has a little too much on his plate to even start addressing you).

What the hell did Medkit think abt readers horns??? Like did he feel super sad and guilty like “wow they REALLY resent me and made it look like SUBSPACES HORNS??”
Or like, before the battle did Medkit not even notice a tiny subspace with a crystal in between their horns… did he not like squint his eyes and be like “hmm, who could this youngling possibly be….. next to subspace?? Who knew subspace could take care of a KID.” (Wonder who that kid is)
Or when he did realize did he feel a pang in his throat or something realizing reader was taken care of but by SUBSPACE.
Oh and imagine the guilt or anger Medkit would feel finding out their sibling turned out more like subspace instead of him. Like how dare subspace of all people take my sibling of all people under their wing and turn them into a copy. (Even if it was for the readers best)(I’m talking abt how they needed someone to provide for them)
Because this could have turned out way worse with reader just dying and shriveling in the cold. (I wish that would happen so Medkit could also feel horrible.. both outcomes make him miserable and that makes me happy bc DESERVED!!!))
And what was the Medkit thinking while he moved to crossroads. (That’s where he moved right 😭, speaking from ditf knowledge… I’m too lazy to find out..whoopsies) Like did he ever have guilt keeping him up at night…. Heh…. I bet he never expected SUBSPACE of all people to take reader under their wing 😼

like Medkit literally meant no harm…. And spent all these years waiting for their little sibling only to find out they HATED them.
And reader doesn’t even know the full story…. But I doubt this is even about the story.. Medkit left them and subspace took them in bc he’s so selfless.. how kind.. that’s all that matters
Omg and imagine Medkit telling sword abt his younger sibling (which would lowkey add more salt into the wound for when sword meets them) (as if this whole situation already doesn’t) because imagine sword finally meeting the sibling Medkit so preciously would mention and then be confused why this supposedly very well behaved sibling was nothing like Medkit described and instead a subspace 2.0….. they (both sword and Medkit) were probably like oh crap

Ughh like I can only imagine his sibling-ting being more comforting… instead of like Medkit. Like I know you mentioned it (him teaching reader way more than Medkit ever has and like pushing them more) but I just need to appreciate that.
I feel like even pre disaster if reader were to know subspace they would be closer to him.
Sorry I have a very emotional attachment to this bc I had a similar experience seeing my cough family member (guess who!!!!) after years of him vanishing (no contact real) and him trying to hug me but yah this makes me feel way better and makes me pretend I didn’t run away or something.

Medkit would be horrified about readers horns for so many reasons. A) why are you subspace B) oh my god are you ok. i originally was thinking of the horn cutting being a lot messier but it didn't quite fit in how i wanted But i do think he would assume the worst (did reader even do it themself? did they do it safely?)
2. I think he would've recognized them at the start of the match. He'd go from thinking they look vaguely familiar to increasingly 'that has to be' about them. he'd kinda have to see the two of them interact to fully connect. it would definitely hit him hard especially becaus he would have a whole 'oh of fucking course my sibling goes to my lab partner am i stupid its BLACKROCKKK.....'
3. Moves to Crossroads if only because it's the closest, most crowded area. Not exactly easy to hide somewhere like Thieves Den, plus it gives him at least some chance to see you, much easier to visit Crossroads than it is any other region for Blackrockians.
4. Sword definitely heard a lot about reader. It would definitely play into how they would interact for the first time. Sword's defnitely caught off guard by the contrast but it shocks him in less of a 'holy shit what was medkit on about' and more of a 'holy shit what happened' kinda way. he would definitely try and push them together though, he just wants them to at least be on good terms ... you guys should at least talk to eachother and see how you've changed, find some common ground ... or at lwast maybe stop targetting him thats fucked up man (joking)
5. subspace is definitely a little hot and cold. hes as manipulative as he is charismatic. besides, you really don't have anything or anyone else in the world, he doesn't gain anything from breaking you down. his biggest form of comfort is praise and approval, which is why their relationship leans so academically and why reader is so dependent on their growth. i do think that subspace would genuinely grow attached to reader, they really are like a mini-him older brother in the dangling you by the ankles way in the rare moments of him lwtting loose, otherwise its a lot of banter and working on stuff together.
