if you’re having a particularly rough day, i highly recommend treating yourself like an elderly household pet.
you’ve been going up or down the stairs? excellent job! just resting on the couch? taking it easy is nothing to fret about, go ahead and sleep. having a treat? it’s wonderful you’ve made it this far, don’t be afraid to reward yourself.
you wouldn’t talk down on a tubby old labrador, why would you do it to yourself??
