Hello! I see you’re having trouble with blowing up unsuspecting enemies. That’s okay! I raise you, S0H4M3’s tips and tricks to blowing fools out of the water with your MEKA nuke!
♦️Your Self-Destruct is a zoning tool more than it is a weapon. You will almost always be wanting to detonate it in-or-around the point.♦️Do not use it to initiate fights when enemies are 100% focused on dodging The Bomb™, they will. Trust me, they will because they have a whole 3 seconds to move.♦️Study payload structure! It is very common for stalling D.Vas to wipe out payload contesters by nuking on it. But not all payloads are created equal! It’s possible to break line of sight with the nuke by squatting super close to the payload. Jump into some custom games and figure out what the best place to put your nuke is!♦️Alternatively: detonate it in the air, the math of angles says that the higher the explosion, the less of an angle they have to hide♦️More custom games. Figure out exactly how far your mech travels. That way you can have the nuke blow up exactly where you want it to.♦️The element of surprise. I said earlier not to use the ult at the beginning of a fight, do not. Wait for enemies to use their defensive abilities first. You’re going to want to pay close attention to enemies with barriers, and make sure they break before you nuke.🔺 Abilities you want to confirm are used up before you nuke: Reinhardt Barrier (top priority), Symmetra’s barrier, Zarya bubbles, Winston’s bubble, Mei’s Ice Wall, Orisa’s barrier, Roadhog’s heal, Zen’s transcendance.♦️I said not to use the ult at the beginning of a fight, do not. THERE IS ONE (1) EXCEPTION! When you’re behind them AND your team is ready to push. If you are behind enemy lines and they do not see you. Throw your ult at where they are and have your team push at the exact same time. It’ll take a bit of coordination but it’s so rewarding. This works mostly with assault and payload maps, not as much for control.♦️ And finally, my most important tip. Teamwork! Don’t be afraid to ask Zaryas, Sombras, Reinhardts, and Meis what their ults are at. But combos and good communication are your key to multikills!♦️Bonus tip: Common sense. Don’t blow the thing up in enclosed spaces with lots of nooks and crannies. Always use it out in the open. Route66 and Hanamura are some of my absolute favorite places to pick up multikills.—–I hope it was useful ^ω^
