But they can't tell the doctors because it's getting harder to breathe, so they just sit there, waiting...
Hey there! So we’ve been getting a few asks about emergency situations (and with incompetent medical staff) and we’ve decided not to answer these kind of questions for a few reasons.
Luckily Mod Goblin and I have never been in an emergency situation where the medical staff were incompetent, but this means we don’t have any personal experience to rely on. Also, Mod Goblin has no background in medical, and I’ve only a degree in biology, not medical. We do not want to spread any misinformation by putting the wrong answers.
I know I’ve heard nightmare stories from hospitals and doctors offices, but I know most medical staff are pretty caring and go through extensive schooling before they work with people. Most of the time, a medical professional will know what they’re doing. However, if one is ever in doubt, go get second or third or fourth opinions. Just know these people went through years and years of study to be able to do what they do.
Please do not let this discourage you! We can definitely answer asks about being sick, or recovery stuff, or general hospital asks. We can even do angst. Just also understand we cannot really answer extreme situations without extraordinary research, and even then we do not want to spread misinformation.
