Who are your favorite Evanstan writers? x

Hi!

So I think Piper, Bug and I would all say that @luninosity @paper-storm @cable-knit-sweater and @musette22 are some of the best writers in this little fandom who really capture the Evanstan spirit really well.

And I also want to add @wintersoldier1989 and @thedamageofherdays because they write some really awesome stuff as well.

We are probably missing some great authors here. But like these are the first people I think of when I think of Evanstan writers!

PLEASE DON'T DELETE 😭😭

We're not deleting yet. But we do consider it. We get that this may be disappointing but we have to protect our peace. Some things have happened that make my and my friends experience in this fandom a lot less fun.

I mean we started this blog with 3 friends and one was bullied away. It makes it less enjoyable for all of us. And then some other things...

Maybe we will feel differently after the holidays. Maybe bugs will continue the blog without me. Maybe we will delete. We don't know yet. We aren't deciding this year.

Why do you and your friends wanna leave fandom? :(

Hi Anon,

I am guessing you are referring to a post I (@seashell-x) made. And I don't think I should elaborate on the Evanstan blog to be honest.

But yeah leaving fandom is something me and my friends are considering. Especially after our other friend was bullied away and after some other things that I won't elaborate on (since I get the feeling people are eager for drama and I'm personally not into that.)

I am posting this without Bug's say. But I think they'd agree with me that we want to keep this blog fun and drama free. Especially after our friend Piper was bullied away by this fandom. She didn't deserve the messages calling her names, she didn't deserve antisemitic hate in her inbox for the fics she promoted, she didn't deserve to be told to kill herself, and she didn't deserve other mean things people said.

It feels like certain people are in this fandom for meanness and enjoy being petty. And I'm not here for that. Though in the future if you see something on my personal blog, ask me on my personal blog.

That way we can keep this Evanstan blog fun and entertaining and it makes it more likely that we will actually keep this blog and that we will continue to share fun Evanstan things.

We've thought about it but ultimately decided not to. Since we are running this blog with 3 people it would be very unclear who read what and we could end up with situations where we all read the same fic in different weeks. So to avoid making things complicated we decided to just not do that.

We do do favorite fic fridays where we share an Evanstan fic we all loved 💙
