Welcome to the Hearts Laboratory- A scientific research center based around the unknown, the uncertain, and the unintentional. Made up of three departments- the ‘Beating Hearts’, which specialize in experimentation on mutants and aliens to find the limits of their being; the ‘Broken Hearts’, specializing in dissection, disposal, and cleaning up the other department’s mistakes without a speck left as evidence; and the 'Bleeding Hearts’, which works solely with care of the creatures in between experimentations, provided quality of life is high enough- it isn’t quite like any place you’ve likely ever seen before… Unless you’re familiar with the study of mutant beings, aliens, and mankind’s mistakes resulting in especially messed up creatures!
This blog follows the adventures of the Bleeding Hearts in particular as they handle their most challenging project yet… An actual otherworldly life form, or an 'alien’ in simpler terms. Nicknamed 'Aika’, this subject seems a little harder than what they’re used to, but with the newly-added member to the team, known as Asa, it’s a better time than ever!
…Well, that’s what they’re being told, at least. Little do they know what may be working behind the scenes… Or, rather, who.
Hi we know the schedule is not matching up with what is happening but right now I am in the hospital for the next few days it seems and away from the programs used for the zine.
We are also looking and waiting to see about the postal strike from Canada post. We want to have fast and efficient shipping. If the back to work bill passes on Monday we are only a few steps away from opening preorders.
I am sorry for the tardiness of the zine and hope you can forgive me on this.
hello, everyone! it’s 2021, and work on the comic has resumed! chapters may be slow to update, but we’re officially starting work on it again- thank you for sticking with us through these tough times!
to tide you over during the wait for the next chapter, you can always come send in questions to this blog- maybe we’ll even end up doing a Q&A chapter eventually if there’s enough interest! we also have an official SCV imagines blog for those of you who just might have more than casual interest in a character, over at @scvimagines.

Mod S here to post more refs by Chris!!! here we have another two of my characters- a jellyfish named Angel… and a member of a subsection of the beating hearts, Daire! he doesn’t do the experimentation as much as he does checks on the health of the mutants- not really giving care, per say, but a lot kinder than the other members so far…
both are fairly minor characters, but nonetheless, we hope you enjoy their designs!
