A final goodbye
The lasts requests are done so Mod Sneasel’s work is too. I’m kinda sad to leave, honestly, but it’s what’s best for me. I know Koru will do a fantastic job looking after y’all ovo It’s been a fun three years, thank you all for making it good for me, and I hope I made some of y’all happy too!! This really has been an amazing experience, running a headcanon/imagine blog like this
Reminder that you can still find me at my main blog @zalazzle, art blog @zalazzlearts, and Pokemon blog @sneasie if you still wanna interact with me <:

I know pkmnirl as a community has times of inactivity, but honestly through each wave of lessened activity we still see quite a bit of activity here. People still have their interest in the community! And that's proven with every wave of newcomers that we get afterwards. I think it's just the natural rise and fall of a roleplay community.
...Now the question is do I say that Kalos is neighboring Paldea and Galar or do I stick with the fact that's never actually been confirmed by pokemon to my knowledge. I said initially no headcanons but this one feels... obvious? I don't exactly know
Are people still using the term eeby deeby for humans turned into pokemon? This is a question I ask out of genuine curiosity because it was a bit of a contested term for a while—I certainly wasn't a fan of it when it was first starting to take root. I feel like I saw people using the term pokemorph, but that also is a fandom term that already existed. Is there any term that people are using that is actually searchable? I want to find some of these blogs but they seem difficult to locate with tumblr searches if you don't already know an established blog in that niche.
Quick little PSA for folks in case they don't know because it's been an issue several times in this community. I've been told this is not common knowledge! If someone blocks you and you go out of your way to contact them or have someone contact them on your behalf, that can be considered harassing behavior. Being blocked sucks, especially with no explanation, but trying to block evade is not the healthy approach. I promise you its better in the long run to let it go.
On Sentence Starters
Sentence starters are a popular form of roleplay starter here on tumblr, though you see significantly less of them in pkmnirl. This seems to boil down to the fact that pkmnirl, for the most part, is a shortform roleplay community rather than one that writes out longer prose threads. That being said, there are still folks who have expressed an interest in sentence starters and want to understand how to use them. Here is at least my (Mod Sneasel) understanding of how sentence starters are meant to be used for those who have never encountered them before.
So let's use as an example this post by crownmemes. Let's say you found this post and found it to be fitting for your character's current situation, or maybe it just sounded fun. You reblog it and someone sends you the prompt, "I was scared, and I still am." (It's important to keep in mind as the sender of these prompts that you must include the name of the blog that is submitting this, you cannot be completely anonymous when sending a sentence starter.) Now you give what you believe your character's response would be to being asked by that specific character, with the expectation that this reply will become a thread between the two characters. From there you roleplay as you normally would, think of it as a roleplay ice breaker of sorts to get you and your writing partner started.
There are also shorter prompt starters such as this one from aurorarpresources that function similarly, but center instead on an initial action. They still play out the same, one person sends in a prompt, the blog responds, and further interactions continue from there. You don't necessarily have to be a prose based blog to function this way, format these prompts in a way that suits your roleplay style the best!
If there's any information that I have not included here or you have any corrections for me feel free to add on to this post and I will make any necessary edits! Hope this helped!
I'm having too much fun I need to stop this before I start trying to write a blog again or worse I try to join Discord servers
