The Losers have begun to split apart after Bill has moved away, and Eddie barely sees Richie anymore. Especially loved how realistic this was, really gives you that summer feeling.

The Disinheritance Scheme by coppery (complete, 5k, rated G)

Eddie comes up with a scheme to avoid Christmas at home with his mother by bringing a fake boyfriend. Richie is reluctant to play the part. Eddie suspects that he's homophobic. (Spoiler: that's not it)

Nan’s Luncheonette by sir_reptitious (complete, 7k, rated T)

Outsider POV of the Losers hitting up the local diner immediately post-clown fight. Feel-good to the max. There's also a part 2 which you cannot miss!

Richie and Eddie go through a messy friend breakup that's more like a breakup-breakup. For fans of teen drama, petty bickering and pathetic pining.

A canon-compliant fic taking place at the end of the summer of 1989. Classic teen-Reddie banter with Eddie being extremely anxious and Richie pushing him to snap out of it.

Hanahaki-fic where Richie keeps coughing up flowers even after Eddie's death. A great deepdive into Richie's memories coming back and how he deals (and doesn't deal) with grief.

Eddie Comes Back Wrong after having died in Derry. Richie tries to pretend everything is fine, but it gets harder and harder to not suspect that something about Eddie is very different now.

Mod Vichael's 5 recent fav fics!

Hello! I am newly appointed mod Vichael and I am so excited to have gotten the keys to this esteemed IT-library that I’m very much a fan of!! I will be assisting the other mods to the best of my ability and influencing them with my gay agenda! 

In my free time I enjoy combing through ao3 tags, reading fanfiction, writing fanfiction, and reading regular non-fan fiction, preferably gay. If I’m being real I’m primarily in IT for the Reddie fic but I love any well-written fic and can be swayed from my monogamy. I’m an avid commenter because I’m very nosy and I want to know what everyone’s writing and thinking at all times. But in like a chill way.

Here’s five of my recent fave fics, all published in 2025:

Comforting Pressure by Lorel77 (@honestlydonotcareenough)

(35k, rated M) 

Spoiler: Sonia is a vampire and she’s feeding on Eddie. Kind of a Salem’s Lot crossover for all you King-fans. This is an ongoing fic that’s about so much more than it seems beneath the surface. You’ll be hooked after the first chapter. Particularly enjoy the many different POVs from the Losers, giving us insight into their complex relationships.

Dad!Eddie fic that really dives deep into the hardships of parenting, especially after a divorce. This is actually part 7 of an ongoing series, but this most recent one was my fave so far. It doesn’t veer away from hard topics, and Eddie’s kid feels like a real, genuine character in a way that’s rare to find in kidfics.

1990s Stanpat and Reddie fic that’s focused on the friendship between the four of them. Very very nostalgic and domestic but there’s also a sense of melancholy to it that’s specific to IT 1990 for me. Kind of makes my heart ache but in a good way.

10k of silly funny Reddie flirting where they’re both stupid and oblivious in the best way. Richie is annoying and Eddie gets annoyed. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is involved when they get it on, which I very much appreciated.

AU where Richie is a washed up ex-Disney star and Eddie works on a film set with him + has to wrestle with the mortifying celebrity crush he has had on Richie since he was a teen. A very, very fun time all around.
