In honor of season and the end of the show, I just wanna thank everyone here for your support. It's been a wild ride through the whole show.

Tonight I'm gonna write and post a short shallurklance thing, so keep an eye out for that.

Them getting all bundled up in big coats and scarves and gloves and hats and running out into the snow and having a full out war of snowballs.

Keith hardly wearing anything and making everyone else go nuts cause like c'mon Keith you're gonna hekn die in that hoodie

Allura not needing much cause of her sick ass alien abilities so she pulls off the gorgeous winter model look without actually freezing to death

Hot chocolate or tea or any other warm drink/food afterwards and cuddling up on the couch damp, tired, sore, smelling distinctly of snow on yarn, and out of their goddamn minds with joy

Taking all the aesthetic pictures of the snow and everyone laughing and throwing snowballs or making snow angles or snowmen, standard action shots ya know

Matching sweaters, matching hats, matching scarves, they're all hekn matching and it's beautiful like always

I just wanted to drop in and apologize for how inactive this blog has been. All the mods have been busy with school and work, and personally I've been too tired to do much during break.

We'll try to be more active, and feel free to send in any headcannons or thoughts about shallurklance!

I'm tired and bored so have some random, completely unrelated headcannons

- "Sure, let's not have lunch, like animals" is definitely something Allura has said and then Lance laughed in agreement

- Shiro says "buffoonery" all the time, the other three have a betting pool (of chores) of how many times he'll say it in a day, Keith and Allura are best at it, Lance just likes to guess big numbers and always asks Shiro to help out with his resulting chores

- "I love you but your solution to everything is to live inside of a mountain" has been said to Keith and me multiple times by the other three

- Allura is fascinated by a lot of minor human things (light switches, vacuums) and she keeps asking about how these things work and after she asked about how a microwave worked the other three realized they don't understand this stuff so they all start having nights where they look up how random things work

- Keith asks Coran to teach him how to make an Altean meal and he almost started a fire after he tried to make it on his own and later, after explaining to everyone, Allura explained that the food was barely edible for the general public so it's totally okay that Keith almost blew up the kitchen and didn't finish dinner

- Shiro is great at gift giving and loves it, that's it, he just has so much fun and just loves it and his lovers

- karaoke night is bomb.

- on the ship, when they get moments to themselves to just relax, forget about the Galra and the enormous responsibility that rests on them, they just sit or lay together or more or less silence, enjoying each other's presence and allowing themselves time to breathe.

- when that happens, they're usually not all free at once so they'll just slowly gather in one place and flop down with a grunt and whoever else is there grunts in an understanding response

Shallurklance head cannons #20

Their photo taking skills have a huge range

• Lance takes great photos, they’re always so nice and perfectly framed, this boy could be a professional tbh he has mastered light composition and knows exactly which filters to use (if needed, he usually believes that his partners don’t need any filters but sometimes he adds them for fun)

He is also selfie master

• Allura loves taking landscape pictures, she’s got an eye for the whole big picture, and often she tries to include her partners. If they’re at the beach she’ll run back at a random point, and before anyone notices she’ll snap a really candid shot of all them splashing and playing in the water. And while Lance is selfie master, Allura is selfie master SUPREME

She also is really good at taking group selfies, sometimes she doesn’t even need a selfie stick

• Shiro isn’t very good at composition, but the pictures are always good quality, with nice focus and stuff. But he doesn’t experiment too much and most pictures of people just have the person in the center and stuff

But v nice, Lance is teaching him about filters

He doesn’t take a lot of pictures tho

• Now Keith Oh boy Keith This boy, this fucking boy

He takes SO MANY PICTURES

Like his camera roll is almost completely pictures of his partners (the rest are either knives or hippos)

BUT

they’re all terrible pictures

They’re either too blurry to really tell what’s going on, or they’re taken at the worst moments possible; midblink, awful angles, mouth hanging open while eating

They’re just So bad

And Lance is always like stOP but Keith refuses cause he loves taking pictures of his babes

It is a real and intense struggle to convince Keith not to name every single pet they get after cryptids.

They let him name the hairless cat he found on the side of the road Mothman and he's been insatiable since.

Keith gets salty that he can't skateboard in a parking lot so Lance and Shiro sneak over at night and steal the sign that says skateboarding isn't allowed while Allura stands as a lookout. The sign is hung up in their room as a trophy.

They have a shared Snapchat that gets pretty popular

• People love seeing all the cute couply stuff they do, and if not everyone or no one is in the shot they try to guess who took the picture

• There’s a whole group dedicated to mocking Keith’s photography skills

And Keith honestly doesn’t care cause no one’s being seriously mean, and he’s just happy to take pictures of the people he loves

Sometimes, in an extreme form of irony, people will take really good pictures and say Keith finally figured out how to hold the camera still. Keith laughs at them too

• Keith also either started or heavily supports another group that mock Lance’s photography by taking Artsy™ photos and layering a crap ton of filters on it

• There are groups who make memes of everyone’s photos

• Except Allura’s Cause hers are beautiful and amazing

Though there is a joke where if someone sees a super gorgeous landscape photo they’ll be like I bet Allura took that

• People have memes of Shiro’s photos by taking a picture of a rock or someone’s back and putting a black and white filter on it with some Inspirational™ quote
