#mod: develop crush

Hi, Midge. Thank you for your awesome mods! I wanted to share an idea with you about the Develop Love mod (not a request). So, I've made a small edit to the develop love interaction that makes it satisfy a want to fall in love (otherwise the want stays unfulfilled even if the sims interact after). I have it working in my own game, so I'm not asking you anything, just thought maybe you'd like the idea to update your mod, too. Feel free to ignore it if you don't, or if I'm being inappropriate :)

Oh, and the justbefriends interaction can satisfy a want/fear to fall out of love, if the sims were in love. Again, just an idea that I use in my own game. I'm willing to share the code to save you some time, if you like it.

I like both of these ideas, and also noticed some inconsistencies with how the love memories were assigned by those mods, so I've reuploaded both now with better memory assignment and want fulfillment! Anyone interested can redownload just be friends and/or develop love.

Hello sorrys for being a bother I tried downloading some of your Mods like Confess to Cheating and develop a crush but it seems they aren't working or am I doing smth wrong? I keep receiving an Error message

Hi! Without knowing anything about the error message I can only really guess... are you trying to use them in TS4? Somehow a lot of people seem to have the misunderstanding that develop crush is a TS4 mod, but it's actually for TS2, same with confess to cheating and all my other mods.

Hello! I was wondering if it would be possible to make a version of the Develop Crush mod that allows for children and teens to crush on older sims, but not the other way around (for obvious reasons). Not a request, but I think that'd add some nice new options to storytelling

Hi! It can be done by editing the age checks in CT - Object Menu but it's not something I'm interested in doing myself.

About the develop a crush mod. I downloaded it and put it in the mods map. How do I use it?

First, because there seems to be confusion surrounding what game that mod in particular is for, let me say that it (and all my mods) are for The Sims 2. If you play The Sims 4, this mod won’t work for that game.

In TS2, you will notice a new option on the pie menu if you click on a sim who is romanceable by the current sim (age appropriate, not family) to “Develop Crush”. Click this and the crush flag will be set from the current sim to the sim you clicked on (it’s not automatically reciprocated) and you’ll get the little hearts and sound that normally happen when a sim starts crushing.

Hi Midge! Am I blind or is there really no option to "unset" the crush somebody developed with your mod? Also, if it really is like that, is there some other possibility to remove this tag again? Thanks in advance!

Hello! You’re not blind there’s no unset option, I kinda figured people would use something like the simblender or “just be friends” to do that. Both those options remove the crush from both parties if it’s mutual, but you’re trying to make a mutual crush unmutual you could always add it back with develop crush after removing it with one of the other methods...

Hiya! Dunno if this through tho before/if I don’t know something but everytime I try to install and use the “Crush” mod Origin says the files are corrupted and that I need to remove them in order to start the game. Any advice?

Hello! My mods only work for TS2, sounds like you tried to use them for a different game.

Polish translations

Thanks to kundjej the following mods have been translated to Polish:

birth options

adoption mods (give up for adoption mod and both memories)

“ask to leave partner”

develop crush/love

baby last name chooser

Also, since birth options and baby last name chooser’s dialog string set will be overridden by the alternate pregnancy controller with the correct load order, I have updated that mod to have the translated strings even though the miscarriage pop-ups still aren’t translated.

I was just briefly playing last night for the first time after installing Develop Crush/Love, and I noticed that where they're placed in the pie menu kind of terrifies me because I keep worrying I'll click on one by mistake! I feel like it would be much "safer" (for someone like me, anyway) to have them in a submenu like "Develop>Crush" or "Develop Feelings>Love." Far less likely for a single misclick to ruin everything! Just a bit of feedback on the mods for you :) Hope you're having a good day

Oooh, good point! When I made develop crush it didn’t occur to me to give it a submenu since it would’ve been the only action in the submenu, but with develop love added to the mix giving them their own submenu starts to make sense... I’ll definitely keep that in mind for future updates :) Hope you’re having a good day too!
