Hello, everyone! I originally intended for this to go up on Saturday, but I have been very busy so I’m going to make this post now before I forget sometime down the line.

This blog is officially on a hiatus.

We will return most likely in a month, November first at the latest, I would say. This is going to give mod Rose and I a chance to prepare the blog for some big stuff, and also just take time to ourselves. It’s a lot easier to stop posting on the blog when you aren’t stressed out and anxious about it. 

We will, of course, make the occasional post, and ask you guys a few questions, post a few polls, but we will not be taking any fics. If you have any questions, you can contact us at [email protected] OR you can contact me directly right here!

I’m going to fill up the queue now, and then let it run out. And then we’ll be back!

And we have BIG things planned for when we come back!

Mod Chat: September 5, 2015

Hello, everyone! It is that time of the week again, so let’s chat! 

SO let’s talk about Trespasser! Again! 

It comes out in three days, and I am honestly SO impatient. Spoilers were detamined from in-game files from the latest patch and were leaked onto the internet so I just had to look them up. I definitely regret it. The spoilers weren’t too big or anything, nothing related to the Dread Wolf. Just two small things (and one of them I totally unknowingly foreshadowed in my fic!). Honestly, my advice is to wait until Trespasser is released. I just hate surprises and I always want to know things beforehand. 

Also, I finally finished The Descent! I don’t know how long that took, but it was a while. The Guardian literally kicked my ass. My entire squad died within the first thirty seconds so I was up against that thing alone. I did defeat it eventually, but it took so long! I’m just glad I finished it just in time for Trespasser. 

Literally all I have to talk about is Trespasser lol.

Actually, that’s not true. I’m going to put everything in my inbox on a queue and then starting next Saturday, this blog will be going on a hiatus. It won’t be too long, perhaps just a few weeks to a couple of months. Nothing too long. It’s just that I have a lot of things planned for this blog and want to spend some time on them personally. When this blog comes back, there will be a LOT of changes. I have planned this for a while now, and I’m excited to finally show you guys them! I just wanted to wait for the final DLC to do this. So next Saturday, I will do a final mod chat and then the blog will still be on hiatus. You can continue to submit your fics, and I WILL get to them, it’s just gonna take a little bit. However, you guys have always been super patient so I have no fears!

Hi mods, firstly thanks for this lovely blog, I've found so many good fics on here. Secondly, can anyone rec me some inquisition fanfic that has a heavy focus on Lavellan being Dalish - like how does this make them feel being called Herald? How do they deal with Dorian being pro-slavery? How do they feel when Solas talks trash about their faith and their culture? Anything where we actually get a sense of Lavellan being Dalish please? Thanks again x

Hello! I personally do not know of any (though I am interested in finding a fic like that!) so if anyone has written a fic or has a good rec, please let them (and us!) know!

Mod Chat: August 29, 2015

Hello, everyone! We have a bit to talk about this week. And it’s all about the new DLC. 

IF you have not seen the trailer, you can find it right here! I highly recommend watching it. I believe it was originally leaked by EA Spain (correct me if I’m wrong), and then Bioware pretty much pushed the trailer forward today, along with a LOT of new information. 

Here are just a few things we do know (I’m only listing a few things, the rest can most likely be found on tumblr and in an article that I will link for you):

It’s post-game (meaning you MUST finish Inquisition before starting this DLC)

There will be another Qunari invasion (or, at least, a possible attempt at one)

The Mark is basically trying to kill the Inquisitor 

SOLAS (do I really need to say anything besides that?)

And just a few other things that are amassed in an article that you can find right here.

WARDROBE CHANGES FOR SKYHOLD! FINALLY!! You have NO idea how long I have been wanting to ditch those ugly gray pajamas. 

I still have not finished The Descent (I keep dying at one part and I have had it with these motherfucking Darkspawn in the motherfucking Deep Roads!) but it comes out September 8, so I still have time. 

Sadly, the DLC and patch are only available via PC and new consoles. It sucks and I’m really upset that they’ve done that, but sometimes big companies like EA really suck.

Mod Chat: August 22, 2015

I’m a bit late again...but like I said, it’s still probably the 22nd somewhere! (Just not here shhhh) I’ve literally spend all day messing around with my hair and was so preoccupied with that, so that’s my excuse and I’m sticking with it. ANYWAY! Chat time!

August is almost ending and it feels so surreal, these past few months have gone by so fast. Where does the time go, you know? I hope you have all had a fantastic summer and haven’t wasted it on your computer, like I did!

As stated previously, we have been holding off on doing Beta Matchmaking. Not enough people were doing it, it was slow and just...not working out. We would like to do Beta Matchmaking again some time in the future, but not at this moment. 

I haven’t seen any new DA DLC news! Then again, I really haven’t seen a lot of DA on my dash anyway recently. In general, everything I heard came from that survey last month. Have you guys heard anything new? 

Also, I finally got The Descent! I have hardly played it though, as I realized how apparently level 26 isn’t a high enough level for these Darkspawn. I swear, those Genlocks were SO much smaller in Origins! Also Hurlocks have so much more health in Inquisition than they did in Origins and that’s annoying too. Plus Shrieks. Fuck those things.

Mod Chat: August 15, 2015

Okay, listen...this Mod Chat is very late and it’s technically August 16 now in CT, but I know it’s still the fifteenth somewhere so let’s just roll with it.

The Descent DLC came out on Tuesday, and I have yet to actually see any spoilers about it on my personal blog, which is surprising. Actually that’s not true, I’ve only seen one. I haven’t played it myself yet, because for some reason, Origin is no longer taking my debit card. I even removed it from the account and added it back on to the account, but it wont let me add it again, which is so weird. So I can’t play it yet and needless to say, I am disappointed. 

Have any of you guys played it yet? If so, did you enjoy it? (No spoilers, please! I am not the only one who hasn’t played it!)

Also, just a reminder to PLEASE include more information in your fic submissions! It makes everyone’s job easier, and it doesn’t take too long to just add a pairing and a rating. Please and thank you!

In blog news, I just wanted to remind everyone to PLEASE include the following information in your submissions for fics:

Listed pairings (if any)

Ratings (we’re only going off NSFW/SFW)

Brief description of the fic

Warnings: (ex) corrupted characters (by red lyrium, etc), tranquil characters, major character death, graphic descriptions of violence, drug use, rape/non-con, etc. Some people like angst, but not everyone does. Please be mindful. 

And please, PLEASE have it under a read more! 

We will NOT accept your fic if it includes:

Pedophilia

Incest

Bestiality

In general, it just makes our jobs easier. Please, please, PLEASE try to help us out. 

Okay, just wanted to get that out there (again). Anyway!

As you may know, there will be a new DA:I DLC called The Descent. It will be for sale on all platforms August 11. Bioware has been not-so-subtly hinting at this DLC for quite some time now, and I’m so glad we get a release date (that is actually very soon!)

It is rumored that there will be at least one more DLC, which will take place post-game.

Mod Chat: August 1, 2015

Hello, everyone! This is probably the latest Mod Chat I had ever done, but I’ve just been so busy. Anyway, let’s chat!

Bioware is making it very clear that we will be getting that Deep Roads DLC relatively soon. Almost every tweet/blog post is about Dwarves. They’ve been going in-depth with lore about Darkspawn, Casteless Dwarves, Legion of the Dead, etc. If they are trying to be subtle, they’re failing at it.

But this is good. I - and so many others - have been so thirsty for new Dragon Age content. Bioware has been giving us new armor sets (like the ones for the Avvar and Qunari), but we want real content, especially since so many people found Jaws of Hakkon boring and unnecessary. Personally, I enjoyed it. But I digress.

There really isn’t much blog news, and no real Dragon Age news besides those subtle-not-so-subtle hints Bioware has been dropping.

Last weekend I went to Warped, I woke up ridiculously early, met some bands, got some stuff signed and got a bad sunburn. Overall it was a good time and I’m gonna do it all again next year. I hope you all had an amazing weekend like I did.

Anyway, I am off. I am incredibly exhausted. I hope you have all had a lovely week, and continue to have a lovely next week!
