Alysa's team may be getting a revamp soon, which will be a retroactive change (as in her new team will get treated as if she's always had it) for my sanity.

I've completed ZA's story recently and have updated a couple of headcanons for her, so I want to rewrite her fic, and figured I could edit her team as well. It's been bothering me that she's from Kalos but has no Kalos-debuted pokemon lol.

Btw, I should mention: I am not fluent in French (generally Kalosi in the pokeworld). At all. I did take the language for two years in high school and learned the fundamental basics, but that was a veryyy long time ago and I had long since thrown away my notebook (which I lament every time I think about it). I haven't practiced at all in years either, so the meat of my knowledge has fallen off the bones.

For Alysa here, I'm gonna be relying heavily on google translate and other machine translations to get by. I think I know enough (and can also look things up) to check for accuracy to better guarantee sentences that make sense for situational contexts, but I do apologize for the necessary halfassed-ness.

i've decided to make alysa canon here, because the odds of me shipping drayton with another pokeirl character were slim anyway lol. image reference and info dump under the cut (right img is full body):

for anyone who may know of my fic "colors in a brighter shade", consider alysa's version here to be like a spin-off / somewhat non-canon. i'm keeping certain details hidden or not in effect to avoid story spoilers.

kalosian (black & french coding wise). mother tongue is kalosian, has a subtle accent that briefly gets heavy when she switches from it to unovan-galarian

cis female, barely understands gender as a concept but has no issues with her own

her home life was Not Good and she Does Not like talking about it at all. blueberry academy was her escape and she has no plans on ever going back to live with her parents

aroace-spec. drayton enlightened her to the label and she's stuck to it since

socially awkward, shy, introverted and not a people person but probably the sweetest person you could talk to

absolutely ADORES pokemon. she will listen to anyone ramble about their own

not geared towards lurking around on social media (she has zero accounts anywhere), and doesn't watch much tv outside of poketoons. prefers being outside / doing outdoorsy things (aka she touches grass) with her pokemon

does NOT have a rotom phone, just a regular smartphone. can easily get a rotom phone from the academy but hasn't gotten around to it

does enjoy hanging out with friends and joining whatever games they play if she can. drayton likes to sit down and have personal co-op gaming sessions with her at least once a week. he got her hooked onto pokemon crossing, they have their own town together

very much a sanrio girl with all the associated kawaii aesthetics

specializes in fairies & dragons, and yes her team actually gets along

a member of the league club. joined due to the possibility she could help make a positive change and get club members more actively involved again despite kieran's toxicity, but ironically struggles to talk to club members outside of the e4

is in general a talented double & single battler. part of her is curious about the pokemon arts & theater world (e.g. contests) as she likes watching them, but her dislike of personally being under non-battling related spotlights drives her away

drayton spoils tf out of her. almost to a ridiculous degree. she still somehow gets flattered over any surprise gifts or kind actions every single time. anything she asks for, he will get or try his damnedest to. they're the kind of fluffy, lovey-dovey couple you'd get a sugar overload from

he will and does call alysa his wife. she reciprocates by calling him her hubby
